  1. Hi all, a question for those who have just cruised or currently onboard. We usually book our future cruises while on board to take advantage of some of the additional perks. Now with all included, are there any promotions for onboard booking? Trying to decide if we should book a cruise for next year or wait until our cruise that is coming up in a couple of months.

    thanks

  2. We did this on a sea day, 9am but they were doing some afternoon tours as well. Very worthwhile, the engine room is fascinating.

we booked this precuise when they were offering a 20% off sale on excursions. These sales pop up every now and then, maybe on Black Friday next week.

You can often get more than that by talking to the guys outside the oceanview.

Definitely, Will see if I can get a better deal onboard, but wanted to reserve a particular day in advance. My understanding is that the specialty restaurants on the Edge have been selling out. Already there was limited availability for my requested date at Fine Cut in November.

  4. I have the Celebrity VISA card. One of the benefits is a 50% discount on 2nd diner at a specialty restaurant but must be booked in advance.I called today for my Edge bookings in October and November and was told I  wouldn’t get the discount until onboard but they would note it on the reservation. The agent said no problem. I am skeptical from past experience that “Miami” and the ship don’t always communicate. Anyone else taken advantage of this benefit? Thanks

  5. I wonder how this works if you book one leg and then later add another. Do you tell the booking agent for the second leg that, as it is a B2B, X should give a discount? Or does the discount only apply if you booked both cruises at the same time?

I recently added a second leg to a Caribbean cruise. My TA contacted Celebrity and the discount was applied.

  6. On my recent cruise on the silhouette I had a specialty dining package. At the end of the meal I received a check with a zero balance. It stated an 18% gratuity was included but left the option to leave an additional tip to recognize excellent service. I usually left $5-10 as service was outstanding.

  7. Looking for info on how Go Better is handled on a solo cruise. They are offering classic alcohol package for 2 as part of the promotion. Since you only need for one, has anyone received an additional perk such as gratuity or Internet in place of the second alcohol package. They do give the full onboard credit ($300) for the stateroom.

    Thanks

  8. Hi,

It's not a secret that the Celebrity website is a mess. I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this issue. For the past several weeks, I have been trying to get into my September 2016 Solstice reservation and get the message "The system is currently unable to handle your request for retrieving your reservation."

I have several other bookings that work fine. I have called into Celebrity and the representative said they were unfamiliar with this particular error message (I find that hard to believe). They promised to refer to IT and get back to me in 48 hours. Not surprising, I haven't heard anything.

Before I call again (and go into hold forever) I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this message and if you got it fixed, how did you do it.

    Thanks

    Mike
