I'm sure age has a lot to do with who purchases the drink package. As other posters have said, when they were younger they drank a lot more. My wife and I are out at the night clubs to around 1 am most nights. So if i start having a bevy at say 3 pm thats 10 hours of drinking over a long period. I certainly do not get blind rolling drunk. Just having a ball like you want to on a hard earned holiday.

Hi I definitely get my monies worth. Whilst I don't get over the top drunk, I probably can have about 7 drinks a day plus a couple of waters and 3 cups of coffee that are on the package. Also like just getting my card swiped without the hassle. Even over 14 days I still cannot cruise without one.

Plenty of areas that you can have a late night dance and drink. Silent disco is a lot of fun as well.

We go to a show every night. We love any type of music. We like late night dancing and having a few extra drinks. Not ones for going back to our room early. Maybe when we get a few years older. Life it to short.

Specialty coffees are free with drink package. Cafe al Bacio was a great place for a good coffee and outstanding cakes. No need to upgrade.

Hi
We are from QLD and have been on both Celebrity and RCI. In our 50s but young 50s. Celebrity was outstanding and RCI fantastic. Our friends have just returned from a HAL cruise and said they much prefer Celebrity. HAL from what they said was more sedate than Celebrity, and Celebrity is not a party cruise. With Celebrity, if you want, you can still find a bar going strong after midnight. If you drink definitely get the drink package. A must for us even thou we are not over the top drunk every night. Just good to have it for coffee as well. Life does change a bit when kids are of our hands. Cruising is a magical way to enjoy that different next chapter in your life.

Hi connecting rooms where there is an adjoining inside door are very noisy. You hear everything the other room is saying. IMO stay clear of these rooms.

On the Eclipse in January 2017. Hated the 3 production shows: Topper, Rock and Chandelier. Perhaps Euphoria is better (seems like it replaced Chandelier). We have been on 17 Celebrity cruises and my DH and I used to look forward to production shows. We are very disappointed in the new shows. Whoever created these shows should be fired: a waste of talent and money (sets, costumes).
Wow we had a completely different slant on the shows in November last year on our cruise. You are a tough critic. "A waste of talent and money" is a horrible thing to say. I know we all have different opinions and tastes, but this answer was in my opinion a bit tough when these young performers are doing a great job.

Hi
We had one just like that in November 2016. No real extra noise, but did open the door one morning as neighbour was coming in with coffee. Put it this way, he headed back for more.

Thanks for the review. We have booked same cruise February next year. Very interesting to us.

We got off Eclipse 27th November and never saw one card on any lounge. Great idea but by 9am on our cruise there were dozens of chairs with no one on them, and still by 10.30 they were unoccupied.

Wow not liking what has been talked about. Going on Eclipse on Nov 13 and there is 8 of us in select dining. All in concierge. Any tips other than getting there early or late.

We had a similar opportunity this June on Eclipse. From Aqua to GTY Suite for only $200.00 more. We got an S1 corner aft, and felt like we hit the lottery!! We thought Aqua was lovely...Suite Life is a completely different level of cruising...Michaels club and Luminae are only the beginning...amazing canapés and pastries delivered by your Butler every afternoon. Concerts and other activities in MC most every day. Skipping the long lines in St. Petersburg was so great...the MC concierge walked suite guests to the head of the 40 minute line ...others have noted the special invitations to the bridge and helipad.
I suggest that you jump at this offer.
But please be warned...you may never want to go back to C1. We loved our experience so much, that we've booked 3 cruises through January 2018... All in corner aft suites :)
Hi guys
We are in our second cruise in November on Eclipse. We booked whilst on Reflection last year. My question is who offers you the upgrade. Is it Celebrity or your TA. I read about people getting upgrades all the time, and would love this to happen to us one day.
Thanks Neil

Magnificent camera work. Loved it!!

Hi excuse my lack of knowledge, but how did you know about the ability to upgrade. Does your TA tell you or do Celebrity let you know.

Hi guys. We are also from the Gold Coast and are doing that same cruise with 3 other couples in Nov 2016. The long flight will definitely be worth it I'm sure. We did our first cruise last year, a 10 dayer on the Reflection out of Rome and it was unbelievable. It took us 24 hours to get there and it was worth it. You'll have a ball!!!
-
One word. Unbelievable. You are a genius. We did basically the same trip this year leaving 28th May on Reflection. Bringing back great memories for us. It was our first ever cruise, and can't wait for our next which we booked on the ship. We were in Aqua class as well. Can't believe how talented you are. Looking forward to the next instalment. Our friends are doing the same itinerary next year, so I'll be sure to show them your website.

We were on Reflection in May/June this year in aqua. We had select dinning when we didn't want eat in blu a couple of times. No problem just rock up to MDR at any time and they will put you in.

Are you on the Australian website? The drink packages went up significantly a few months ago. I don't usually purchase it but had a look at the cost for my upcoming cruise and the ultimate is AUD$81.13 per day including grats. The premium isn't displayed at all, maybe they are doing some updates. Wait until after the weekend and check the website again.
Thanks. Yes on the Australian website.
New Cancellation Policy for June and July Cruises
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
We cancelled today for our 7th June Getaway cruise out of Rome. Full refund from NCL. $220 cancellation fee from TA. Luckily had a points fight from Oz so will get refund on that. Will have to forfeit a couple of non refundable accommodation dates, but a great result for us I think. We were lucky NCL decreased final payment to 90 days otherwise we were outside of full refund. We will keep a close eye on proceedings. Just have to book another in the near future.
