Not looking forward to that. Diamond princess and its sister ships have the best arrangement.Everything centered around the individual changing rooms. No fear of being invaded??!!

Golden Princess Saunas etc

Have been reading the comments re this cruise ship over the years regarding the saunas that need to be accessed from the pool area rather than the changing room.

Nothing worse than wearing swimming trunks etc in a sauna or steam room.

I see no problem with entering wearing a towel or slipping off your trunks when inside. Do you? Cheers

On the Diamond Princess the locker room and the saunas etc are in the same area providing privacy from the outside pool areas, unlike the Golden Princess (which I am travelling on in November) where access is from the pool area only (I believe) and not from the locker room. Not the best!

Hence my question re the Sea Princess location.

Travelling around the world next year

You certainly have been doing some research.

I am sailing on golden in November (NZ/Melbourne 2 week tour).

Have been to Melbourne on Diamond on way to Thailand last year. It is nice to have another ship added to the Australian fleet for part of the year. I guess sales are looking up down under. I read somewhere recently that Emerald was being introduced to OZ/NZ and Pacific for part of the year. That is even better.

There's always someone to spoil it!

Next year I have booked on Sea Princess and saunas are part of the men's changing room so no issues there. Cheers

I enjoy saunas and steam rooms. They were great on Diamond Princess but I believe a little different on the Golden Princess which I am booked on in November this year. Heard various reports that because of their location swimming gear may need to be worn. A towel wrapped around would be better.Nothing worse than clothes on in a sauna. Comments from cruisers who have been on board.

Will certainly look forward to seeing some photos. Cruising on Golden Princess November 2015 Australia/New Zealand.Makeover sounds great. First time on this princess ship.:)
