Tammy was the friendliest, most helpful CSA I have ever encountered with ANY company.

Hi all.
Trying to book a hotel near Port Everglades for 1 night pre-cruise, 21 Apr 2018. Prices at most of our favorites are almost double what we normally pay. Did a search, and could not find any special event that would explain the high prices. Any info on the reason for the high prices? Thanks!

I have Texas PH plates, and have parked at the Port’s parking lot many times; never had to pay, even doing a B2B2B. No reso needed; I always get there about 1030, but have never heard of the lot being full with the usual 2 ships in port.
Once you enter the lot, tell the guide you need to get a PH or DV pass. You will park near a trailer; you will need your driver’s license and a VA card showing service-connected disability (for DV plates), or your registration for the PH plates. The attendant in the trailer will Xerox your DL and docs, and give you a pass to place in your windshield.
In over 40 cruises, I have never had a security problem at the lot. Use it without fear and enjoy your cruise.

Rec'd the email invite. Already had one of the cruises listed on the invite booked, using a CR rate and a certificate from the casino for $$$ off. Figured I could just sign up for the BBQ Bash.
Was told CR only allowed one promotion code per booking, so I could either rebook without the certificate at today's higher rate and get the BBQ Bash invite, or keep the current $$$ off and CR rate, but not be allowed to go to the bash.
I went last year, great time and class act, but prefer the cheaper rate.

Lights and toilet are both manual-at least in our Grand Suite.

This restaurant is 2 1/2 blocks away-easy walk. Great food and beer.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Hi.
Previous CC posts have mentioned that you have to take a tram to P4 to board hotel shuttles. Are you allowed to take airport-rented luggage carts on the tram?
Thanks!

I had great success using vouchers to get "off menu" requests filled if I tipped as I ordered.

Had the unfortunate experience of having JD as my conc twice. My wife and I are apparently not part of his “in group”. In 54 cruises, he is the only conc who I could not connect with. I never asked for anything, so it was not due to poor performance on his part. I just did not appreciate his "holier than thou" attitude. On one PC cruise, he bragged to my wife and me how he took his special favorite passengers on a private tour of Panama City; since we were not included, I was not sure why he felt he had to mention this.
For those that think he is the greatest, so be it; I must respectfully disagree.

Independent driver - 888-816-0973. Give them a call to get a quote for 4 people, 8 bags, and 4 carryons and discuss a car size. That's a whole lot of luggage!!!! They don't take reservations until 4-6 weeks out, but they should be able to give you a quote.
I am on the same cruise. The traffic at the port is normally unpredictable, but it will be more so because this is a repo cruise. No one will be able to park their cars at the pier for the cruise, so everyone is going to have to get some sort of ride there. I don't know the status of the new terminal - no one has reported that construction has actually begun. At the rate they're going, the Quantum will be gone from Cape Liberty before the new terminal arrives.
Thank you all for the info.

Hi. I have been given great info on this board in the past.
We are 4 adults staying at a hotel in the area near the Outlet Mall in Elizabeth, NJ. We will need transportation on a Saturday from the hotel to the Cape Liberty port for a 1 November 2014 cruise. We will have a total of 8 suitcases and 4 carry-ons.
1. We prefer a private passenger van just for the 4 of us. Can you recommend the best company to use for a Saturday morning departure? A passenger car would not be large enough.
2. We normally like to get to the pier at about 1030-1100 for Texas and Florida ports. Is an early arrival recommended for Cape Liberty (final Explorer departure)? If we decided on a later time, what time would be best without a lot of traffic and long lines?
Thank you in advance for any info.

Unfortunately, no more free sushi on the Navigator in what used to be the Jade section.

Hi. Many posters on this thread live in Galveston; I am hoping they can help with some info.
There is a marathon on Galveston Island 16 Feb 2014. Looking at the website, the route appears to include streets near the port area and the Strand. From past experience:
- Will the race impact cruise parking or entry to the port area for those that like to check in before noon?
- When can we expect the racers and support staff to clear the port area?
Thank you for any information.

We are still waiting for our December 7th. Oasis cruise points to be posted.
We did an Oasis B2B: 7 and 14 Dec. The 14 Dec points just posted, but no word on the 7 Dec points. Gotta love it.

Thank you the the information about Bay Way.
Does anyone know of any liquor stores that deliver? Called two and both said they do not deliver to hotels.
Thanks for any help or info.

Thank you for your advice. We arrive on a Friday, sail on a Saturday, so Sunday restrictions are not a problem for us.

Trust me-before posting did several searches. Being unfamiliar with the neighborhoods or public transportation options, wanted to get expert opinions.

Those locations are not near my hotel. Depending on how early they open and how I will be getting to port, it is a possible option. Will gladly accept any other recommendations. Would prefer to get the wine the night before, if possible.

From previous threads, it appears that stores selling wine are not conveniently located if you do not have a car. I did a map search, and it appears the closest grocery store to the hotels near the Jersey Garden Outlet Mall is a Stop and Shop on Newark AVE. I checked their web site, but could not find any info on if they sell wine. Does anyone know if they sell wine so I could stock up before the cuise from Bayonne? If so, it would be a short cab ride away. Thanks!

For the last 2 cruises, no "In the Air", nor "Saturday Night Fever". On one night during both weeks, they has SNF performers do selected songs, but no full shows.
