  1. My husband and I are cruising on the Pride in May (29). It has been a while since we have been on Carnival and we have never sailed the Pride. Can anyone tell anything that we must NOT miss on ship? What specialty restaurant they would recommend? Any food on the menu that should not be missed? Any tricks or tips that we should know that would be helpful? What is the Hasbro game and is it funny? Does anyone have copies of the Sea Compasses that give all the days activities they can share?

If anyone has any ideas for Nassau and Freeport would love to hear that as well. We are beach people.

I would ask this on my roll call but it is really slow. NOT many folks on it at all. I know folks are using other social media sights, but I wouldn’t even know where to begin for our May 29 cruise.

Thank you in advance for sharing and information that you can.

We just returned yesterday from the Pride and had an amazing time. In Nassau take the #10 bus to the Melia Resort to spend the day on their beach. It costs $35, but is pretty and has security. Snorkel equipment is included. Bus ride was fun and it was nice to chat with the locals.

Didn't make plans for Freeport, so walked around for a bit and returned to ship to hang out on the Serenity deck.

As others have said, the Serenity deck is the place to be. Get there early.

Go to Red Frog Pub for nightly music. The band, School of Groove, was amazing and fun. Hopefully they will be there in May, but I think they do shorter contracts.

If you like sushi, definitely go to Bonsai. Delicious!!!!

Anna and Desi at the Renaissance Bar are the best. Elena at Alchemy Bar is also awesome.

Hasbro was okay, but short show and they mix kids with adults so that's as fun as it gets. Bingo was fun, my first time and all the nuances were an experience. Didn't see comedians because we chose to go dancing instead. Playlist shows were okay. Kareoke was fun to watch for a bit.

Get Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana. Both excellent!

MDR for sea day brunch. Eggs Benedict were yummy.

If nothing on dinner menu appeals, try the flat iron steak. it turned out to be one of our favorites. Chocolate melting cake is a definite. Skip the pork chop. Calamari, crab cake and conch fritters were great apps.

Get up early and watch sun rise from top deck. Worth it!

If you're going to the gym, go early to get a machine. Skip the "free" tours of spa etc. While they do raffle things, they are all a sales pitch.

If you can still get FFTF (faster to the fun) get it. It helps to get on board and to your cabin early and to get off early along with other perks.

If you have MTD (my time dining) ask to sit along the railing so you can see the singing and dancing waiters. And dance with them, fun!

Remember it's your cruise, so do it the way you want. Have fun!!

  2. Received our email from CCL this morning asking us to arrive between 11:30 to 12:30

Morning! Was wondering if you have FFTF for the 14th? We have not received an email telling us arrival time yet and curious if they don't send it if you have FFTF. Not sure what time to get there.

  3. I would echo the question about the seas. How were they? Do you feel rough seas when you're on the Pride?

How was the weather in Baltimore when you left and came back? Did you have a cold sea day or two?

What did you think of the cruise director?

I, too, would ask these same questions. Leaving on February 14. I am trying to figure out what to pack. It's my friend's first cruse and I am hoping we will have a lively and fun CD(? ) We are planning to dress for cruise elegant nights as it is fun for us. Hope we won't be too out of place. Thinking of a resort beach in Nassau, but not sure about Freeport since it is such a short time. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

  4. We had FTTF last summer. We arrived at 11 and were in board by 1230. Dropped off our bags, had lunch and was in the pool by 2. Received our luggage and was unpacked before muster.

Great experience for us in Baltimore and we will always try to get FTTF.

Haha, great to know as we have FTTF on our cruise out of Baltimore next week!

  5. Any update on the Pride 4K French doors? Leaving in 40 days on the Pride in one of these cabins. Do I need to bring a screwdriver? If so do I need Phillips or flathead?

    Thanks!

    Cheers.

    Jeff aka Recovery Dude :)

I'd love to know too, leaving in 34 days ;)

  6. We did the British Colonial Hilton. It's easily walking distance from the ship. I want to say it was $65pp but $45 of that was a food voucher. We sat under a very nice palapa on the beach and the waiter came out very frequently to take our food and drink orders. The beach is small but nice and there's a pool you can use, as well as changing rooms/showers. We spent a few hours relaxing there before striking out to visit Watling's Rum distillery and Graycliff cigar factory (both walking distance from the port).

Thank you. After reading this and other reviews, we think the Colonial is the one for us too!
