They didn’t have the white wine that was listed on the menu (chardonnay), but they provided a reisling instead.  Honeysuckles and freshly cut garden hose on the nose (yes, that is a thing). Taste was slightly sweet, with notes of melon.  It was good and went well with the salmon. Elle had the Celebrity Vintages cabernet sauvignon with her short ribs, which was smoky and tobacco-y on the nose.  The wine was very light, almost pinot noir like with hints of tobacco and black cherry. Elle, who doesn’t prefer super strong or earthy cabs, enjoyed it.

So much yes to the wine notes! I'm cruising X for the first time (Edge) in two weeks and need the inside scoop on what they're stocking and pouring on board.

  2. Reading this from the Bruce Springsteen site there will be no new registrations for the third set. If you were verified but got no code or got a code but no tickets then you'll be eligible to try again for tickets. Otherwise no luck.

"Due to overwhelming participation in the original Onsale powered by Ticketmaster Verified Fan[emoji768], there will be no additional registration for this extension. Fans who previously registered and were verified but placed on Standby and did not receive a code, and fans who received a code but were unsuccessful in purchasing tickets will be contacted by Ticketmaster with further information about the added shows."

So unless your already registered for a code it may not matter if the site works or not.

I was not able to register the first time so I'm a little disappointed and am hoping the show is extended and opened to new Onsale registrations.

He is registered but has not received a code for the previous two onsales. We are going to try to stay optimistic about our chances for this time....which is why Ticketmaster on the high seas will be attempted ;p

We are doing everything we can to avoid paying the astronomical upcharges of the resellers/scalpers on other sites. Hopeful that with the introduction of more tickets into the market, resale prices may go down as tickets are less scarce.

  3. Well...I used the Carnival wifi on my cruise last week. I needed to checkin with Southwest. So exactly 24 hrs before my departure I hit the button and got the range of boarding I am accustomed to when on my computer at home. I would recommend your husband get on the website and be at the last "clicking point" for the tickets when the ticket availability starts. He should get a good 1st try... however if he gets kicked out....it may take longer than normal for him to retry. But to answer your original question.... Yes he will have access to Ticketmaster

Thank you! Worth a try. At the worst, we're still on vacation!

  4. Has anyone successfully used the Ticketmaster app while on the ship’s WiFi?

To make a long story short, my DH is a life-loyal fan of The Boss. He has tried twice, unsuccessfully, to purchase Springsteen on Broadway tickets. We recently found out that there will be a third ticket release while we will be onboard the Pride enjoying our second sea day.

The tickets sell out in minutes. Would he be able to use the TM app? Ship’s internet browser? Has anyone done this successfully?

  5. Thank you so much for sharing your review - it makes me so happy to hear that you had great experiences! One of the things I really appreciate about cruising is how accessible it can be for adults and children with disabilities. Even though accessibility is not something I have to take into consideration at this time, it is something that is important to me as an educator working with children. I will be saving your review to share with families who have similar needs.

I've heard about Autism on the Seas but have never taken a cruise where they were participating. The opportunities they offer to children and families resonate with me deeply. Again, it brings me a lot of joy to read this review - thanks, again, for sharing!!

  6. After hearing from so many who had positive experiences at the BCH in Nassau, I was getting ready to book our day passes through Resort for a Day. Much to my disappointment, it appears that our (November) date has sold out!

Is there another way to reserve our spots in advance for the BCH? Contact BCH directly?

  7. I ended up not using it much, but the locked box on my chair is called the Aqua Vault. You set a code of your choice and it locks over your beach chair. I saw this on Shark Tank and ordered one. This is great for cruises or the beach when you don't want to take your stuff to use the restroom and you don't want to leave it laying out in the open either.

Boca clip TWINS - I love my flamingo Boca clips!! :)

Also, the Aqua Vault intrigues me majorly - I'm looking forward to seeing how much you use it on the rest of the trip. Since my DH and I cruise with just the two of us, we have to tag team who is watching the stuff and that gets old real quick....

  8.

Jeans, spanx, and Texas heat. The struggle was real. LOL

This tickled me!! I've BEEN THERE - gotten the t-shirt, bumper sticker, and magnet. :) No shame in that game.

On my most recent cruise, after spending the three days prior in New Orleans eating everything in sight, I thought the button on my shorts was going to pop off in the MDR. I will definitely be taking your advice to heart - maxi dresses and elastic towards the end of every cruise! xo
