  1. Maybe she's speaking in hyperbole and it wasn't every ten, but perhaps every hour and felt constant?

We are child free so we don't have to deal with frequent cleanings in the pool we use, but if I had to guess, I'd say it was for frequent cleanings and every ten was an exaggeration.

  2. We aren't big Disney fans, have never been to any of the parks, and don't have kids. We've been on three Disney cruises. First one was a family trip and we figured we'd suck it up and go. Had a better time than the rest of the family. We've done a double dip since then and a trans. Going on the ebta in September. We are looking at Disney for an Alaskan, but are considering concierge level on a competitor due to pricing. I want minimal crowding and good food and service, I really don't care what line it is.

  3. We've only sailed on Disney so I don't have anything to compare it to. We don't have kids, have done three Disney cruises (first was with family and we had a better time than they did).

We like the movies, but we like Disney movies. I've never been to a Disney park, and aside from the movies wouldn't say I'm a big fan.

Disney does a good job of keeping the kids occupied and out of the adult areas. So while of course they are all around, they aren't in the adult pool and all.

We used the spa, the adult pool, the adult restaurant, sat at dinner with a few other couples, went to late night shows for adults, went to the pub (adult only after a certain time, kids allowed early in the day). We had enough to do to have a good time.

  4. We don't have kids and enjoy Disney because they keep the kids occupied and out of the adult areas. One downside of the transatlantic last year was that with more adults traveling without kids, the adult only areas had more people in them (the coffee shop was nearly always crowded).

  5. I travel with mine (non narcotic) in the original container. Mostly bc I just plan for there to be problems at tsa. No one on the ship has questioned them or asked that i open bottles going through security.

  6. If you take disney transportation and have an extra tag, you can tag the carry-on when you get off the bus at the port and they will take it to your room.

We each had one checked bag, a small carry on, and a backpack on our recent cruise. We put luggage tags on the carry-on bags after getting off the bus and they were brought to our room.

  7. They went out a bit out to the end of the fjord - about 10-15 or so minutes straight out from the dock. It began as a quick drive-by of like the Opera House, then we spent the next 45 minutes or so drifting or heading alog the homes and islands along the eastern Fjord and cut into some pretty narrow spots, then we cut across the Sound to the western side of the fjords and pretty much same thing -- 30 or so minutes on that side, then came back. It was only 2 hours but really glad we didn't do the Disney one as we were seriously considering it, but it was nearly $400 for the 4 of us. They didn't feed you on this one (I heard the Disney one had at least a snack or something?) and it was a bit hard to see with the rain and foggy windows. But I'd do it again on a sunny day.

We did our own excursions in the other cities BC we felt confident wed have time to get back to the ship, this one we decided to go with disney. We saw cabins, saw the opera house. Never saw the high cliffs we had been hoping to see, sounds like you might have in the narrow spots (we didn't go anywhere narrow). Trip was prob under 2.5 hours but half hour of that was bobbing around the magic, the captain of the fjord boat asking the magic if he could let us off there. We got a drink, some tasty bread, and shrimp. The disney excursion was not worth it. Pretty much saw what we did from the magic.
