We went this summer and loved it.
We did the 2 day comfort tour with Alla tours.

I was going to suggest the Norway in a nutshell tour. I think that's a good one.
Other than what has been mentioned already..
If you are looking for outdoor activities such as kayaking, fishing, climbing.., you can contact Gone Paddling to see what they can offer. It's situated one hour outside of Bergen, at a place called Herdla - http://gonepaddling.no/
If you like to eat seafood

I think 4 days is a long time to spend in a small city like Bergen. When do you arrive and what is the cruise iterinary?
-
40 minutes if you take the airport bus from Radisson Bryggen. About 30 minutes with taxi if there's little traffic.
-
I can't find this option at myncl, the only package I can find is an ultimate dining package for every day of the cruise. Is this only for some ships? (Travelling with Norwegian Star)

I don't think you can. Would assume if it was possible that the info would be available on their website, which it isn't :) http://ulriken643.no/

If Hop is your only destination, you can walk to Byparken (the city park) and take bybanen (kind of a tram) to Hop. Costs around $4.
-
You can pay for the taxi with your credit card

You can buy tram tickets from automatic machines or at kiosks such as Narvesen and 7-eleven. See ruter.no

I've only been there once, like 20 years ago, so can't really answer your question. See if this helps, you can use the Google translate feature at the top of the page

It's not difficult at all. It's a 45 minutes walk downhill.
Scriv, you mentioned you walked back down from the Funicular. What was the advantage of walking and was it difficult? There are two routes down. When you're facing the city and the funicular with your back, you can walk to the left or right. Personally I prefer the left. I usually walk up the left one and down the right. I'd be surprised if anyone managed to get lost. You'll see the view of the city on your way down and know where to go.
To walk down, is there only one road, or is there a particular route? Please share the "how to" and the chances of getting lost. One more question . . . how long does it take to walk down at a pace that is slow enough to enjoy all the sights around us?Thanks,
Shelley

We've had a lot of bad weather this year, so I wouldn't be too optimistic, but we may get lucky ;-)
