Really appreciate the updates.  Your posting helped tremendously.   I spoke with a rep from SS this morning and she told me Jan 26th is canceled and information will go to customers with options on Monday. Thanks to all for the great posts.

I spoke to someone from SilverSeas UK this morning and they said no cancellation at the moment. I understand it is a difficult decision.

Still no word from Silver Moon? We board Aqaba 6 Jan due to sail down Red Sea and through Bab el Maneb strait a few days later. Surely a responsible cruise company Silverseas/Royal Caribbean would be reconsidering such such as a In safe route???

    Anyone else in this position?

We are on the next sailing from Dubai. The Silver Moon has left for Port Said.

    Hope everything goes as planned.

  3. We have been to Porto San Stefano several times. A nice port of call.

It is a beautiful harbor town with nice seafood restaurants. The area is very beautiful, Porto Ercole is worth a visit.

It is approximately a 75 minutes drive from Civitavecchia.

Anybody else finding the new Azamara web site very frustrating and very unhelpful regarding this voyage?

Yes, very frustrating and confusing. I received the travel documents from TA today.  It is still a Greece,Turkey and Bulgaria cruise. Depart Istanbul 2 May 4PM 🤔.

    QUESTION -

When I research cruises on the new website, choose a cruise, and go to see what cabins are available - when I choose a category, instead of going to a list of available cabins, it goes directly to ask for my personal information or sign in.

Is that what is happening for everyone?

Yes, I see the same. No choice of staterooms.

  6. Azamara Pursuit has changed the route for the May 2 2023 sailing.

The ports of Burgas, Varna and Constanta have been canceled and changed to Cesme, Rhodes and Kusadasi.

Completely understandable, safety comes first. But I am a bit disappointed in the choice of the new ports.

    I hope Thu 2 May is a Tue 2 May. 🤔

    Dear Azamara Guest,

We're writing to inform you of some important changes on your 12-Night Greece & Turkey Voyage departing on May 2, 2023, on Azamara Pursuit®.

At present, security conditions, particularly along Ukraine's borders and in the Black Sea, have become increasingly unpredictable. For the safety of our guests and crew, we've made the decision to avoid entering the Black Sea and will remove all our stops in Bulgaria and Romania from your itinerary.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will understand that, while we always intend to follow the itinerary you originally booked, the current situation requires us to avoid sailing in the Black Sea at this time. However, we have added some wonderful alternatives to your itinerary.

We've included new stops in Turkey, including Ephesus (Kusadasi) and Cesme, as well as another in Rhodes, Greece, which are always popular ports of call on our itineraries. To fit them into the itinerary we are changing the day we visit Canakkale (Kepez), Turkey. Full itinerary details can be found in the charts below.

While we will no longer be sailing in the Black Sea, we are pleased to inform you that we will be doing some scenic cruising of the Bosphorus Strait after the ship departs Istanbul on May 3rd. The Bosphorus Strait is one of the most scenic routes in the region and offers breathtaking views of Istanbul's iconic landmarks and historic sites, such as the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. The narrow strait is also lined with picturesque villages and beautiful waterfront mansions, providing a unique glimpse into the local culture and lifestyle.

We believe that this new itinerary will provide you with an unforgettable experience and we can't wait for you to join us on this beautiful journey.

Rest assured, any shore excursions purchased for Bulgaria and Romania through Azamara, will be refunded to the original form of payment. New shore excursion opportunities will be available soon by logging in to your voyage planner.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and thank you for your cooperation throughout our journey as we have worked to manage this fluid situation. We can assure you that your upcoming Azamara vacation will deliver the highest standards of service and quality for which we are known.

Should you have any questions, please contact your Travel Advisor immediately for more details specific to your country of residence or visit https://www.azamara.com/contact-us for your local Azamara call center number.

We look forward to welcoming you on board.

    Sincerely,

    AZAMARA®

    Last nights Dinner

To be honest we wasn’t overly impressed with the luminae menu last night and after a bad day (lost one of our phones on the ship) we just didn’t fancy making to much of an effort so just went to the main dining room and have a nice quiet meal there.

Also, and maybe it’s a reflection of our bad luck on this current cruise but the times we’ve been in luminae we’ve been given tables that just seem odd considering how quiet it was... plus one time there was an overly loud couple next to us, another time most of our meal there was someone FaceTiming someone (loudly)!

As I said maybe things are seeming bigger issues than they really are but when things are going wrong everything seems to be going wrong!

However we really are people that do try yo see the good things and make the best of everything so fingers crossed it starts with a reduction in the wind anytime soon 😂 we did both have small wins in the casino last night so that’s good 👍🏼 Not enough for a new iPhone but maybe a new case 😜 it’s a start right 😂

Onwards & upwards as they say 🍸😎

    Hello from the Apex too.

Yesterday we booked the tour in the 👣 of the Godfather. It was nice.

Is it not possible to located your phone with the app? I hope you find it.

It is a windy day today but lucky we found a good spot at the rooftop garden. Tonight we booked Fine Cut for dinner. Maybe we meet you on the ship. 😀

    Hi Gitte,

Allow me to apologize for your disappointment.
I see on your Roll Call that TA's have been notified of the change by letter. I'll ask around to see if I can get a copy of the consumer letter that would have gone out at the same time as the TA letter and will post here for you.

Hi Bonnie, I just send a msg to Azamara FB msg. I received an answer.

Hi Brigitte, letters were sent out last Thursday with this change. Due to operational issues we had to remove Zakynthos and replaced it with Katakolon. We apologize for any inconvenience. Should you have any questions contact us at 1-855-AZAMARA. Thank you.

  9. Azamara Pursuit 11-NIGHT GREECE INTENSIVE VOYAGE 13 August 2019

Get swept up in the romance of Venice before a relaxing day at sea. Your first stop is one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities, Kotor. Spend the day wandering the historic cobblestone streets before setting sail for the island of Corfu. A late stay means plenty of time to venture into the countryside for exquisite cuisine before returning to port.

Greece will take your breath away, but the beautiful green island of Zakynthos, with its massive limestone cliffs and surreal turquoise waters, is truly spectacular.

In the charming port of Gythion, experience warm turquoise waters, dramatically lit sea caves, and a delicious Greek frappe.

Travel back in time with a quick stop in Monemvasia before escaping to Chania. Stroll through the old city and see a mixture of diverse civilizations, with Greek, Venetian, and Ottoman influences on every corner.

Sail to the gem of the Aegean, Santorini. We stay late in this stunning port, so take your time strolling the bustling streets and volcanic beaches before finishing your day with a glass of Vinsanto and a postcard-worthy sunset.

Feel humbled at the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian in Patmos. Mykonos is your next stop, with it’s beautiful blue harbor and quaint seaside restaurants.

Your journey concludes where it all began, in the birthplace of European civilization—Athens. You’ll have one more chance to soak up the spellbinding beauty of Greece before it’s time to say Antio!

Hi Brigitte. I had a look and yes, it seems like it. I'd be disappointed. I've been to Katakolon many times and doing a Greek Intensive voyage, Zakynthos would have been a draw for me.

Azamara seem to be making a lot of itinerary changes right now. Not sure what is up. Over promise and under deliver the way of it at the moment. And the website is wrong. The map of the itinerary clearly shows Zakynthos as a stop, but the written itinerary says Katakolon. Hopeless.

  11. Hi Bonnie and cruisers on this sailing, it is true that Zakynthos has been canceled and is being replaced by Katakolon for the August 13 cruise Azamara Pursuit. I happened to read it in the roll call of our cruise. I have not received any information from Azamara or my travel agency.

It is also necessary for us Europeans to be aware of changes, so that we can adjust our excursions and plans. We usually have to discover it through a third party.  Also the previous cruise has changed, no Skiathos but Patmos.🤨 (we are b2b)

  12. Dear Bonnie, I have received an answer and a good solution. I have faith in Azamara again. Bonnie without your help this would not happen. We appreciate this very much. Thanks for the help behind the scenes.

    Gitte :)(y)(y):ship:

  13. Thank you Bonnie. I appreciate is very much .

I live in Europe. Here they say that the US takes the decisions. If you contact the US, they say they can not see the booking. After a while you will be connected to Guatemala. They can not help you there either. If you are lucky and have someone on the line who can see the booking, they should discuss this with Europe. Then they promise to call you back, but that does not happen. And if you call back, it starts all over again. And then the office is closed and you have to call back Monday.

I would like to inform you what it is about, but I do not want to disappoint more people (or make them upset)

And loyalty means very little for Azamara. (I am D P )

  14. Thank you Bonnie.

I am so disappointed in Azamara. You are sent from one to the other.

Nobody helps you. I'm sorry to have to say but my trust and believe in Azamara is gone.

    Gitte:( ( a loyal Azamara Club cruiser):( :confused::confused: :(
