  1. We will be on the Silhouette on Christmas Day as well. I saw where the Captain Morgan and Cruzan would be closed?

Drake, what would you suggest the best thing to do is? This is our first time ever visiting and would love to make the most of our day. Thank you!!

  2. Hello All!

Question on what is the best way to spend our time while in port. We will be sailing on the Silhouette in April. We will only be in SJ from 3:30 until 9:00. I guess that cancels out any beach day or majority sightseeing.

What about food tours, great dinner options? We have never been here so we would love to experience something from SJ. Thanks so much for your input!

  3. Bananarama can be a zoo but depending on time of year and number of ships in port the whole of West Bay is a mad house. The easy access to reef snorkeling is right in front of Infinity which means everybody staying along the beach goes to Infinity to get into the water not sure relaxing is what Infinity is going to be. If you're not going to snorkel you might think about someplace else on the island.

Again, Tabyana the day trip spot of West Bay the ships offer shares a property line with Infinity, added to that the bouncing water toys are between the two.

Oh Yikes!! Thanks for the info....guess I am back to the drawing board. We are bringing our snorkel gear b/c I wanted to see the reef.

  4. Yikes! That is a total of $69. Is that per person? How many people in your party? One would need do a bit of math, if $50 is per taxi, divide that by number of people then add $19. This way you have apples to apples to compare.

Bananarama has a transport included package for $30pp.

Tabyana shares a property line with Infinity, what is the price there?

It would be $44 per person since there are two of us going. I had looked into Bananarama but I had heard that it was very busy. I just wanted a more relaxed setting.

  5. I have spoke with Infinity Bay in regards to their day pass. It has now changed in price from $25 to $19.

They have also said that they could arrange round trip transportation from the port to the resort for $50. Is this a good price? Thanks for any feedback!

  6. Just giving everyone a heads up.

I was able to create a new reservation this morning on a cruise for Dec. 2017 and it included the 3 for Free as well as the $1 deposit! Final payment isn't until October 2017 so I have that long to talk my other half into it! :D

Also, I scored the much talked about C752!!! This will be my first Aft Balcony so I am super pumped!

  7. Hello All!

Quick question...looking at a future cruise and it will be on the Crown.

They have a lot of Aft Balcony cabins available. In your opinion which would be the best bet? We have never sailed in one of these and would love to experience this.

All of Baja, D734, D735, E734, E735 are all available. Some of these look like they have larger balconies than some, but I trust y'alls opinion more!

    Thanks so much!

  8. Thanks so much!

I have never done a FCC. So we each pay $100 and that is the deposit for our future cruise. How does the OBC work? Do we get OBC for the cruise we are on plus the new booking?

Sorry for all the questions, I am just confused. Thanks!

  9. We normally stay at the Holiday Inn Express. I love it. Super clean, nice rooms. Good breakfast in the morning. We use their shuttle from the airport. I have to agree with everyone else. The first year we paid for their shuttle. BIG mistake. So expensive. The last time we just got a cab. So easy and cheap!

I can't help with the car since we normally fly in. Good luck!

  10. Thanks everyone for your input! I did trying searching for this specific room before booking but it didn't have it for Silhouette. I believe it showed pictures on the Reflection. I thought I read they were sister ships so should be the same. I just didn't know. Thanks again!

  11. Thanks everyone for the feedback. We have experienced the "upsell" part. I guess I don't mind paying a bit more if we get an awesome room. That is how we first got a taste of the balcony rooms!

For all of you that have booked minis. I am wondering, if, and that is a big if, we get the chance to upgrade from a balcony on Caribe to a mini, what would make it a "worth it" change. I have never seen a mini or know anything about them.

    Thanks everyone!

  12. After reading all of the awesome stories regarding upgrades, I need help!

For all my seasoned cruisers, how do you go about asking about upgrades before/after final payment?

Thanks so much for your advice!

  13. Hello,

I have tried and tried to see what kind of obstruction there is for this cabin. Does anyone have any pictures or has anyone stayed in this cabin on the Silhouette. I have found pictures of the Solstice, but when I compare the deck plans, they are different. On the Silhouette, it shows and empty area where there are no life boats?? Thanks for any help!!

    :)

Can you provide any feedback on this room???

  14. We love the ease of just a short walk to the Terrace Pool and bar. I was interested in the Caribe balcony rooms because of the larger balcony. I didn't know if anyone had experience in staying in R746 and could give me some insider tips.

Also, tips would be appreciated for the Caribe balcony rooms. Thanks!

  15. I need some help from all of you wonderful insiders!

I keep debating between a caribe balcony or the special addition R746 on the Caribbean Princess.

I have heard that the Caribe balcony is much larger but I am questioning leaving my beloved Riviera deck.

What would you pick and why?!? Thanks!
