My cruise in December is sold out for FTTF and I'm bummed about that, but even more upset that the price increased. We were going to get it this time only because our toddler is traveling with us, and it would be nice to get him settled in for naps, etc. sooner. But, oh well...

Received a call from the "Upgrade Fairy" yesterday for a Junior Suite on the Fascination, but declined. She mentioned I could call back today to get added to a wait list so that is what I did today. Well, low and behold another Junior Suite was available. Was this fate? Time will tell! Anyways, my original booking was for an interior on the Empress Deck for three of us in a room. Did I make the right choice to upgrade for a total of $382(including vacation protection)? Don't want to have buyer's remorse.
Thanks in Advance!

Are you able to email me a copy of the fun times? My email is deshaundra.pondexter@gmail.com. I'm boarding the fascination on the 30th.

I'm facing the same "dilemma" searching for Hilton Branded hotels and am really wishing I could "double dip" use points for the stay and parking. That will make me do the ultimate happy dance. I'm not leaving until end of November so I still have time, but the required points are so low right now I want to jump on it before they increase again.
-
Hopefully this isn't a silly question but does the Fascination have this new system. Traveling with a 17 y/o in November who I'm sure my mom and I will want to stay in contact with while on board.

I have found a ton of recipes and helpful information using Pinterest just search for Paleo.

I just had to cancel a cruise that was paid for in full by gift cards. Carnival just sent me a new gift card by fed ex air.
Thanks for the info! Sorry to hear that you had to cancel.
-
Hypothetically speaking if I pay off my cruise with gift cards and for some reason had to cancel how would the funds be given back to me since I paid with gift cards? Note I have travel insurance through Carnival for this cruise.

Following to gain some insight on what's the best or should I say preferred method. I've booked through Carnival on a previous cruise, but would love to try using another vendor. I think if I did try another vendor it would have to be one that starts at least 1 hour after docking and has me completed at least 1 hour or so before "all aboard time" as that is a fear of mine using a outside vendor and getting left.

I'm planning to order a SJCAM SJ4000 which is roughly $70 dollars heard about it on another board and folks say it is decent for underwater photos. Just google the camera name and it will take you to the site I'm planning to get it from. It looks just like a GoPro.

We had the same decision and picked Sunshine for Jan 24 th. We sailed on her last October and loved it. We wanted to sail her again without the kids before they sent the ship to New York. Plus I love ships with the 2.0 upgrades.
Just booked for the 24th on the Sunshine. It will be three of us in a room so we were able to grab one of the last Interior with Picture windows rooms that were left on the Lobby Deck.

If we book I will definitely let you know.

Hi fellow CC members,
Am currently looking to plan a trip with a group of friends and friends of friends for Jan and/or Feb 2016. As of now we've narrowed the port down to Orlando as it is within driving distance from South Carolina. Ship options are the Sunshine vs. the Valor both are 7 days going to the same ports. Departure dates are within one week of each other. Which ship would you select? Personally, I really want to hangout in the sports square area on the Sunshine, I'm a big kid. LOL! We are all in our late 20's/ early 30's if that really matters. Sunshine is about $82 more for the entire cruise.
Will be booking by end of week to take advantage of the reduced deposit sale.
DAY PORT ARRIVE DEPART
Day 1 Port Canaveral (Orlando), FL 4:00 PM
Day 2 ... Fun Day At Sea --- ---
Day 3 Amber Cove, Dominican Republic 9:00 AM 4:00 PM
Day 4 St. Thomas, USVI 11:00 AM 7:00 PM
Day 5 San Juan, Puerto Rico 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Day 6 Grand Turk 12:00 PM 6:00 PM
Day 7 ... Fun Day At Sea --- ---
Day 8 Port Canaveral (Orlando), FL 8:00 AM
Thanks in advance!

When I cruised out of Miami we stayed near the airport, and at the time uber was running specials related to first rides so our ride was particularly free minus the tip. So my recommendation is to download the uber app and see what specials they have available. Will allow you to be more flexible with selecting a hotel.

Interested to see the responses as for my cruise I'm debating on whether I should buy my next cruise prior to sailing or purchase while on board.

I always do ES bookings and have never been forced to buy the insurance. I buy my insurance from an outside vendor. Might just be a Carnival trick to include it so you buy it without thinking about it. You are fine without it, but I would suggest going and purchasing it on your own as with ES if something does happen you can't cancel without loosing your deposit.
I was told by my PVP with the "Cancel for Any Reason" you can cancel without losing the deposit as long as the insurance is purchased.

Close to the same price for me as well. However, I like the flow of the booking process a bit better on the UK site the ability to have everything on the same screen.

Awesome review thus far excited to see the rest.

Checking this page is faster than checking Verizon's site. :D
Very valid point! Lol
This site ROCKS!

I haven't yet figured out the Verizon gift card thing. Is this through the Verizon Rewards program where you use points to get the cards? Looks to me like it would take a ton of points. I'm fairly new to the rewards program and only have 1,100 points. Am I looking at the right thing?
Thanks! :)
I wish there was another way to see when the GC's get posted as right now you have to STALK VZW all day.

Yes, it is through the smart rewards program. For every $100 they take 1,000 points. So that is how the $500 GC are only $450 out of pocket.

Key West and Cozumel aren't tender ports just visited both ports in January.

Interested in seeing the responses here as I'm waiting to do the same for my 17 y/o brother on our cruise.

You can always change, instead of dialing their ext, just hold on and the 1st available will pick up. Tell them the problem and you would like to switch.

Thanks! I will be switching even though I don't cruise until November don't want his level service or lack thereof going forward.
