I wonder if the financial troubles that Puerto Rico is presently having affect the port for future cruises this year. Will the san juan stores be open? Tours? etc

Everything will be fine. I think the local government may raise some taxes...but it will not affect future cruises. The government is in a tough spot. Tourism is the major economic activity, and they must compete with other Caribbean destinations on price/value.

So now that I have these $ 500 gift cards, can you use part of one at a time? In other words, if my balance due on the cruise is $1800 and I give the TA $2000 worth of cards, I assume that $200 balance can be used later on???

I don't know if your TA will take Carnival Gift Cards, but Carnival will of course. The $200 remaining balance can be applied to your Sign and Sail Account.

On the first day, he promised half of his earnings to the dealer if he won on Black Jack.

He won $1,000. True to his word, he tipped the dealer $500. :eek:

After the first day, he remembered to not make any more promises. lol
