The big problem is if it hits your embarkation port which causes big problems getting to and/or returning from the cruise. :(

We leave Sunday for B2B on Independence. We sail every year at this time for our birthdays. Have been around several storms and high seas and it doesn't bother us. Always have a great time.

We are also sailing on Independence of the Seas on Sunday Aug 23 too.

I was a little concerned about Hurricane Danny, but just figured you can't control mother nature, get on the ship, and find a way to have good time, and I have a good Beverage Package so that helps, haha. I figure we might be rerouted or miss a port or something like that, I am ready for a much need vacation no matter what!!

Yeah was having the same problem last night when I was trying to book my drink packages, website kept giving the error, CREDIT CARD ERROR, renter your info, tried it like 4 times, finally had to just call in and do it via the phone. I told the guy on the phone website was having problems and he kinda admitted that it was indeed.

I went ahead and booked a 2 tank dive trip with Aldora Divers (they came highly referred).

I had checked with Scuba with Alison first but the dates we gonna be in Cozumel, they we pulling their boat out of the water the last 2 weeks of August for some repairs to the hull.

We have had great experiences with Scuba with Alison. She accomodates cruise ship arrival times without a problem.

I contacted here and she was very quick to respond, but was not available in August

I am very new to this community, I have so far found tons of great info, and trying to do my part to contribute back!

But I have questions

Myself and my girlfriend Anna will be traveling to Cozumel as part of out Cruise on RCI, Independence of the Seas. I have a two part question.

First question is about this whole Ship time and Local time thing, our itinerary say we Arrive Cozumel at 10:00 AM August 28th 2015 (Friday) and Depart 7:00 PM.

I ask this question cause a lot of the diving trips I have looked up online thru shore excursion companies say they start at 9AM, well that does not work since we don’t get there until 10am as disclosed by the itinerary.

Next question is does anyone have a recommendation to an excursion company that does diving in Cozumel. I would prefer to go with a outside company cause the price is dramatically cheaper than the cruise line.
