Just a heads up - Embassy Suites was open after the hurricane, but i received an email today that my reservation was cancelled. On the website there is no availability from January through the end of March, 2018 - ironically, the first available date is the day after i needed it...

They cancelled my reservation as well for mid March although they gave me no notice 😡...just happened to find out via Hilton app.

Contacted corporate & had my reservation reinstated with original price...as now on website price had doubled.

I had booked here over 6 months ago for my stay in March 2018. Confirmed in December 2017 all was still good & was reassured it was. Then with no notice my reservation got cancelled in January for my March stay. When I called Hilton customer service they had no idea why & told me to contact hotel directly. Called hotel and got lame response that all reservations had been cancelled as hotel closed for renovations. Then came to notice on my Hilton app 2 weeks later , that indeed hotel was open during my intended /original stay...but now they are charging double 😡

Needless to say after writing corporate, got my reservation back with original quote price.

Will be staying mid March ...

I contacted Captain's Club for clarification..

If you have an open booking cruise later..like I do for Celebrity passages ( mine's from 2014 ) , it must be applied to Celebrity...but if you have a booking for a specific day/ship , yes that can be 'brand' transferable

Tried today to apply my Celebrity Cruise Later..to a RCCL booking..my agent spoke directly to cruise line.

Agent on their side had no idea so confirmed with someone else within the company and my travel agent was told NO.

Celebrity cruise later must be applied to celebrity cruise.

Owen is now in Voyagers. He has only gone for half of a day but will be going this afternoon and tonight when we go to the comedy club. He says "it's OK". In reality when he gets there he seems to have lots of fun.

 

 

 

 

We have considered staying home for this week and go for a week in April. We won't miss hockey and the prices could me cheaper. He might miss a few days of school though.

For us this year ,once we have completed playoffs , we are off to a championship that will take us into April...then Spring hockey begins..bahaha

We booked Harmony for Cdn March break 2018

We've booked on Symphony for Cdn March Break 2019 as well...only time to do a family vaycay , as like you...my little man is in competitive hockey and March Break is the only time no hockey is scheduled. We too are currently in playoff finals...

Not to mention my miss is in competitive cheerleading and they too shut down over March Break ;)

Really regret staying home this year...thank you for letting us live vicariously through your posts...

Made the decision to book the next two family vaycay's an easy peasey decision 👍👣

Booked for cdn march break 2019...guess I have sometime before I break the news to hubby & kiddos..bahaha

Personally..LOVE the 5:30 pm time slot when with my kids..as I get to enjoy my dinner with my kids but then kids club will meet up at the dining room door to collect the kids to bring them to the kids club..and I can relax and enjoy the remainder of meal / coffee/dessert...

We used Dexter's on our tour xmas 2011..

It was fantastic..w/a small group size. I'd say no more than 12 people when I went.

The kids LOVED it!! The more adventuresome swam and held the wild stingrays while the not so adventuresome group watched from upon the boat..lol

Dexter's Tour also has a Facebook page ;) with a ton of pics and feedback..for anyone interested.

I would go again w/them in a heart beat..and had found them originally by some others who had recommended the tour here on cruise critic..

Tried to stay up till 12:01 am to book my flights for my party of 8 for our xmas cruise...lol..but fell asleep..but did wake @ 4:00 am..and booked our party :)

Direct flight and HUGE savings...esp. compared to flying from Ottawa..well worth the 3 hr drive to fly from Syracuse.

From Ottawa the taxes are almost the same price as the fare :(..and for a party of 8..just not feasible..

Thank goodness for JETBLUE :)
