  1. I think the strength of each drink all depends on the bartender who makes it, as well as the tolerance of the drinker. I did notice the frozen drinks did not seem as strong as the martini's, drinks on the rocks, etc. But I did still get a small buzz.

  2. I just got off the BA on Sunday and had no problems with long waits at the bars. If you're worried, though, give the bartenders a cash tip and they'll remember you the next time you go and they'll be sure to wait on you either immediately or in a very short time. Some of them may even ask your name. That's how I did it. :)

  3. I was on this sailing too!

We leave this Sunday. Never been on the breakaway. Where do you suggest to go to lunch after we board. I want to skip the buffet, heard its crazy the at that time.

    The Uptown Grill.

As there were a lot of communication going on this board regarding Mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers - I am curious to hear, if they were available at O'Sheens or not?

Yes but only during the day. I went after midnight and they only had certain things available, and mozzarella sticks were not among them (not that I was expecting them to have the full menu at that time :) ).

Did you need to make reservations for the comedy shows? Or did you simply arrive early and get seats?

For the adult/late night shows, I would recommend making reservations in advance, as they "sold out" quickly, especially the shows later in the week. The earlier ones seemed to not sell out that much, except for the last show of the cruise.

But even if you miss out on reservations for the late shows, you can do standby and from what I saw those lines all got in, and still got decent enough seats.

  4. I was on the same sailing and I totally agree about the tendering for GSC. When booking the cruise I originally planned on doing an excursion there but in the end decided against it and I'm glad I did. I know they said they were letting everyone with booked excursions go among the first but because the crowd even then was AWFUL, I don't think that would have done much.

That and the noise in the hallways at night/into the wee hours of the morning were the two biggest cons of the trip imo.

Oh, and the disembarkation was also a terrible mess. They need to organize the easy walk-off into groups too, and also not call the first color when most of the easy-walkers are still trying to get off the ship.

I may write an actual review at another time, so I'll go into more detail then. I did have fun, overall.

  5. The Majesty was my first cruise ever, sailed her back in '02, and I loved it. I don't remember much about the ship itself, and I don't doubt that there have been a lot of changes, but just out of curiosity, does it/RCCL still do mandatory formal nights? And what sort of shows does it have now?

  6. I am on the same sailing as you, OP, and I have only contemplated cancelling once. Why? Because I would rather make my own opinion. I'm not going to cancel a much-needed vacation because of some things that strangers on the Internet said. For every few negative reviews I've read, I've also read some positive reviews. I feel it's only fair to myself to experience it for myself, and if the cruise ends up being terrible, I'll know never to sail BA/NCL again. But if I end up enjoying it, I'll realize that everyone has different experiences and opinions. The world goes round because of difference of opinion :)
