  1. We love the Hilton Marina. Have stayed there at least twice. Go to Trip Advisor and read reviews on the hotels you have selected.

If you pick the Hilton...make sure you stay in the "Tower" (newer and nicer part of the hotel)

Thanks for your response. They do seem to have a nice pool etc. I've read the reviews and they all seem to be polar opposites!

Can i ask is there plenty within a 1mile radius if on foot? Eg cafes, shops etc.

Thanks again....Off to check the boards now :)

  2. Not sure where I should post this ? Sure someone will correct me if wrong though ;p

Does anyone have personal experience of these hotels? It's my last leg of my journey and need to go a little cheaper for this part!

My personal needs would be a balcony ( or terrace) and we walkable distance to the trolley, some shops and cafes.

Leaning towards the Pier 66, heard some reviews that the lower level rooms need updating however I've just been looking at you tube and recent videos seem favourable.

Best Western seems a great location but not as nice for pool etc.

Anyone have some good/bad experiences of any of the above to help me make up my mind ?

    Many thanks

    Ceri

  3. When do you cruise? I will let you know! I bought one for my cruise on April 25th. I have always had motion sickness. I can't even ride in a car unless I am driving. I tried it out on a 25 minute road trip on winding roads while reading, and I did not get nauseous! First time in a long time I was able to be a passenger, and not feel sick or dizzy. I am hoping I have the same success on my cruise, and I will post my experience.

Wow...You sound like me!! Exactly the same problem, never a passenger in a car 😀.

Please let me know, i am cruising in August .

    Thank you Ceri

  4. Thanks both for replying!

The Western route is : Bahamas, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Roatan.

    The Royal Caribbean website states:

    You MUST have the following:

    • Passport from your home country.

    - AND -

    • Multiple entry United States visa (if applicable).

So Im guessing that just means the normal ESTA visa as it states you can use it multiple times. Just a bit confused and wanted to clarify. I think ill drop my TA an email just to feel better!

Thank you both again for replying.

  5. Hi all,

I am travelling on the Allure in August from Fort Lauderdale going on the Western Caribbean route. I obviously need to get my visa for the states and my question is does this cover me for all the ports I'm visiting too? Someone mentioned a multiple entry visa but for the life of me I cant find any information on the E.S.T.A site. It just says you can use the visa for as many times as you like within a two year period or until your passport expires (whichever is first).

Can anyone just put my mind at rest with this?

    Thank you

    Ceri

  6. Evening fellow cruises...

Found a fab deal for a friend and I to cruise . Cabin each as booking separately. We are keeping it cheap and going for the classic inside.

    Would anyone know :

    A. I know we can't specify dining times in the MDR through a classic booking but obviously would like to be at the same sitting and the same table . How/can we arrange this?

    B. Is the evening buffet available to all cabin grades inc the classic inside? ( I've read through this forum it is available again now)

I know we could go premium but this is just a cheap break up the winter cruise and we are saving the pennies for later so just wanted a good idea before booking.

    Oh and it's the Diadema.

    Thank you

    Ceri :)

  7. Slots - US bills or for a 3% fee use your room card to download money to play.

Air hockey - your room card, thought I think the teen center has a no charge table.

Arcade games, bowling, etc. - room key

My nephew ran up game room charges and I shut off the card. It wasn't much, but I didn't want to spend my vacation tracking spending and he never asked for access. He did ask to redo the cruise so I think there's plenty of fun to be had without the extra expense.

    Thank you Nola,

With regards to cash say for example if I put in 10.00 dollars would I have to use it all or does it give change?

I know I sound dumb but I've never really ever played them and am only really find out so my daughter (19 ) will want to have a little go and just want to be prepared.

    Thanks again :)
