    Thanks.  I know you said you carry on, but was wondering what the security check-in thinks about them.  I guess I'm just too cautious and thinking about airlines that have had bad experience (i.e. fires in bags or in the cabin).

    Are there any restrictions on those Lithium Ion battery packs?  You know, the ones to charge your cell phone or laptop.  Before you judge, I know we should get away from those devices while on vacation.  Just don't want it confiscated and trashed on embarkation day. 

    Belize Shore Excursion

    Thanks for your tips on Belize excursions.  We don't do a lot of water sports, and wife's knees can't tolerate a lot of walking.  She's 6mo from her last total knee replacement surgery.  We are both in our 70s, so we were looking for something more relaxing like lounging on a beach or a water ride.  I suppose we could just stay onboard ship and save some ??.  Known anyone that's done the Foodie Tour?

    I have a question about dining attire.  Do you think capri pants would be acceptable dining attire for ladies?  I told my friend I thought probably not for the Formal dining nights, but maybe for other evenings in the Main Dining Rooms.   What do you think?

    What are the best, non-chain, restaurants in Galveston for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? We will be getting in 2 days before we sail, and would like to hit some local spots. We like everything, but fresh seafood would be great, since we live in the desert. We aren't looking for fancy, fine dining. We are open to anything from a complete dive, to nice but casual dress is fine.

    We thoroughly enjoyed Gaido's for dinner. Not sure of there other times. Check 'em out online.

    Looking for newer recommendations on parking in Galveston. Headed out in one week!!

    We are taking my sister in law's new car. What's everyone's thoughts??

    Lighthouse Parking. Covered or uncovered. They will load/unload bags and transport you to Terminal nearby. Very affordable too!

    There are a couple shore excursions that offer salmon bake. Have you experienced one or both? Or have a recommendation? We will be cruising in August.

    Shore excursion

    After seeing no replies or recommendations, I decided to answer my own question after returning. We enjoyed the excursion and would recommend it to others. Our guide, Misael was very much fun and informative on the longish bus ride. the salsa and margaritas making experience was also fun. The beach time was just about right. It was very warm, some night sat Hot! (85F). But, what do expect in January? Especially when it’s single digits back home.
