Makes no sense to replace the revenue generating cigar lounge with a non-revenue generating library.

We used Pereira Tours and arranged a private tour of the island in the morning. Lunch at Ottley's Plantation then back to the ship early afternoon. Had a great day.

Never found the need for one. Plenty of drawer storage and plenty of bathroom storage

As I have said before a great review. My wife and I will have the premium package on my upcoming cruise, two weeks from tomorrow, and was curious about how easy, difficult etc, it is to get drinks on the main dining room.
I would like to do my own wine pairing at dinner and have a different glass of wine for each course. I know that will probably be easier in Giovanni's but wonder if it is feasible in the main dining room. We have had the wine package on our previous cruises but usually used one bottle for the entire meal regardless of the the courses.
It would be nice to plan out the meal ahead of time and what we would like to each and what glass of wine to have.
I am hoping that the package will give us some flexibility.
It depends on how good your bar waiter or assistant waiter is. We never saw the bar waiter except for our end of meal Bailey's. Our assistant waiter took care of all of our wine orders. if they are good, you can probably tell him your wine selections up front at the begining of the meal and tell him which ones you want with each course. Depending how busy he/she is, it may or may not happen. It is alot to ask when you are not their only table. We usually stuck with one type of wine with dinner unless the wine just didn't pair well at all. We had GREAT waiters.

There is a beautiful restaurant in St Kitts called Ottley's plantation. In St Lucia I can recommend Capella at Marigot Bay. Let me know if you need the name of a great private taxi service on either island.

Did they take out the scenes with underage drinking such as when all of the girls are in Marti's bedroom for a sleepover? Or the song "sandra dee" which makes fun of her for not smoking, drinking, or making out with a boy? Portraying smoking on stage is minor compared to other things brought up in Grease. I can't believe the OP was so concerned about smoking portrayed in a play. There are much worse things a kid will see on ship just walking the pool decks

Just got off Adventure yesterday. Second time sailing her. Had a great time. She could stand some sprucing up but nothing hindered our enjoyment of the trip.

 Don't even ask about such things!
I haven't heard anything. There was a frequent cruiser and multiple back-to-backer on board who said he knew the upcoming changes from talking to many of the officers. He didn't mention anything about changing the cigar lounge. I think he would have said something, if he knew, as he was frequently in there. But only Royal knows for sure what changes will be applied.
We sail on her on the 21st. I will see what I can find out. Hopefully, it isn't true. Seems strange to turn a space that can generate revenue into a space that wouldn't generate revenue.

Hubby and I visit the cigar lounge every evening. We own a cigar store, so it is important to us to cruise on ships that have a lounge. Someone posted that they heard the lounge on Adventure was going to be turned into a library during dry dock. Anyone else hear this?

Glad you are liking it. I hate to say it, but the Viking Crown was pretty empty most times I went by there, even during "happy hour". I can see why Royal has slowly been re-purposing that part of the ships.
Sometimes we like the quiet. It is a fun place to people watch the pool deck area. You get to know the bar tenders pretty well there.

This request is to TWCRICKET - Can you please scan a copy of the duty free flyer and the name of the duty free store? Can you take a pic of the following items and also the prices of the following items in the duty free store: Ginger Ale, water, soda, and juices. I would greatly appreciate it so much. The information will determine if I need to buy before we arrive at the pier. Thank you so much in advance.

Will try to remember. We don't usually stop in there.

Loving your review. I sailed on Adventure in September and am sailing on her again in 2 weeks. Will have to spend some time at the Champagne Bar this trip, we usually get our martinis in the Viking Crown Lounge.

Find a bar/restaurant on the water near port in Grand Cayman and enjoy a good lunch and some local beer (CayBrew).

We never purchase internet. The cruise is our time to disconnect and decompress. We communicate with home via a few texts each evening

On Adventure in September, the cooler was empty which was nice because we could store the cupcakes and bottle of wine our travel agent sent us.

We have always used a debit card when cruising. Never had a problem. Last cruise all gratuities and drink packages were prepaid. Never bought anything else on ship. they never put a hold on our card. Not sure why, as previous cruises there has always been at least a $200 hold on the card. We always pay cash in ports.

We actually ended up booking a custom private tour

It's really a so so market.
Keith
We aren't doing an excursion in St Lucia and thought the market would be a good way to kill a little time in port.

They will accept USD however no 50s and 100s as there are issues with counterfeit. Also no mutilated or torn currency as it is foreign.
Thank you for your response.

Do the vendors at the Castries Market accept USD?

We like the Viking Crown Lounge. Usually pretty quiet in the afternoon and you can watch the people at the pool or look out over the sea.
Since by husband is a cigar smoker he also likes the cigar lounge.
