I was concerned about the same thing. Had a Havana Ext. Aft balcony on the 6th floor on hold but gave it up after looking at images and the deck plans...was too concerned there would be noise and a lack of privacy. I certainly love the concept of the Havana décor and access to the special deck during the day, but with an aft balcony cabin, want to look directly at the ocean, not a bunch of people below me. Might be better on the 7th deck, though.

Hi, I too got an email from Celebrity advising change to itinerary but it offered no reasons so I called them up. They said it is due to the size of the ship and the works being carried out at Istanbul Port. I asked if there were any security concerns and they said no however they had been getting feedback from passengers indicating that they didn't feel comfortable visiting Istanbul.

 

I too am very disappointed as I picked our cruise to go to Istanbul as a taster for my husband who is resisting a trip there.

What ship and date are you on?

Any updates on this? I'm waiting to hear back from my TA. Some are saying it's only Reflection that's been pulled beginning in April and that Equinox's stops in Istabul are still happening until June. Would be great to have the truth confirmed.

If construction is the culprit, are there going to be any lines stopping there? Only small ships?

Thanks for all the help! Man, that sucks though! I don't think upgrading to the premium would be worth it for us, but it will make it harder to enjoy the occasional martini or craft beer having to pay full price!

With their current "Go Big..." promotion, I imagine there will be a lot of people getting the classic bev package, so hopefully there won't be any mess-ups.

My question is - when you have the classic package and then choose a drink over what is allowed, do you just pay the difference? Plus grat on the difference? If there is a master thread on menu and beverage prices, please direct me...I'm a newbie here and my searches are coming back with so many hits I can't find the info I'm looking for!

Then under where it says "Default Thread Subscription Mode" drop, that drop down box to "No email notification" then click on "save changes"

 

and that shroud stop the e-mails.

Wow, all of this is a bit daunting! With so many interpretations and guidelines, my DH is not going to have fun. He hates wearing suits and ties, and we travel with light carry-ons so we'd prefer not to have a suit take up half our packing space!

Am I correct in interpreting this: As long as we don't go near the MDR on formal nights, he will be okay with nice shoes, trousers and button-up or polo shirts?
