You know I never did that…pack drinks in bags…I’d take a wee double out when leaving…and always tipped the staff…they were great at serving fast…what you got was a kind of party atmosphere where a couple of hours pre-dinner everyone had a few drinks and were chatty…made a few acquaintances / friends from in there over the years…I’m sure we’ll still go in…even if just for the nostalgia…

One thing about the new setup combined with recent price hikes for drink packages is that, unless you consume more than 10 adult beverages per day, it no longer makes sense for diamond and above members to purchase the deluxe beverage package. For example, if you are diamond plus and consume 10 adult drinks per day (far more than I ever consume), you would only have to pay for five of them. That means that, if you skip the drink package and purchase drinks that cost $13 or less (most drinks), you would have to pay no more than $65 for five of them. By comparison, the deluxe package usually costs $83.99 per person per day (with the 20% pre-cruise discount). The refreshment package ($29.99 pppd with the discount) or the classic soda package ($8.99 pppd)may still be useful so that the diamond/diamond plus vouchers do not get wasted on non-adult beverages.
Mmmmm...our first week will be a little more...well 'drinky'...family joining us from Oz...and we are from Glasgow after all...lol
Safe to say no probs burning our package price away inc Diamond (4)...morning sun & beer...afternoon vino/cocktails...night time rum/gin/vodks...just to be sociable...plus Coffees etc...cant beat a wee Baileys Coffee at end of night...
Second cruise is busier...so will be chilling more with my Diamond Drinks at night...

We've cruised before and we are sailing on Jewel of the Seas on 9th September...
Generally with the drinks packages the best offer arrived around 2 weeks before departure to pre-book drinks...
Anyone know if this is still the case...the Delux Beverage Package is currently on at £50.22 per person pre day...
Anyone expecting it to go lower...?
Cheers,

Not usually mega drinkers...but a few G&Ts pre/post dinner...a couple of Beers or vino with dinner...and a Coffee or 2...and Hell I've Spent the £41 for the day...
Looking like the package...although expensive...will be the most cost effective...
Thanks for the info all who answered...

We are on 2 7 day Back to Back on Symphony in June...
Wondering how much the drinks are and if the Drinks Package is worth considering or or Pay As We Go...???
Anyone with some words of wisdom would be helpful...
The drinks Package is £41+ per day each...so not cheap...(charges 16% gratuity)...there is a buy-one-get-one-half-off sale just now...so 25% off each...but does not seem to show up when adding the package...dont know if this is the cost with 25% already off...(£34 + 16%)...
If I remember correctly they used to send out offers 2 weeks before by email or something...but I may be wrong...
Also cannot see bar prises anywhere...so hard to compare...
Thanks for anyone who can help/advise...
