Thanks, everyone. Looks like this will work out for us. Appreciate your feedback!

Hello All - I'm looking at a cruise that ends at 6 am in St. Maarten on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Would that give us enough time to make a 12:15 pm flight to Toronto? I know the airport will be busy since it's a Saturday and also March Break. Many thanks for your input!

My husband and I will be in Geiranger in a couple of weeks. I've been told by an online Destination Expert that I should book the 1.5 hour Panoramic Bus Tour ahead of time since there will be 7,000 tourists in Geiranger the day we're there - but my husband would prefer to wait to see what the weather looks like. Can anyone weigh in on their experience? Has anyone waited to book rather than book online in advance? I'm ready to book and take our chances but my husband would like to see if anyone else has any comments before I do that.

Loved your review - it's a cruise we'd really like to do and I'll keep a copy of this to help me plan it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful time with us.

Yes, if you're staying with the place you've booked in Falmouth it wouldn't work for you. There are spots I really wanted to get to that just won't work out for us without a car but maybe it's better to slow the pace down and get to know a few places better than to dash from one to the next. Good luck with your planning and have a wonderful vacation.

We're doing the same thing this summer - staying in Devon and Cornwall before taking a Norwegian fjords cruise out of Southampton. My research led me to a tour company that offers a lot of different tours, including one that goes to some Poldark spots, It's out of St. Ives - http://www.oatestravel.co.uk/en_GB The prices are extremely reasonable. We've already booked our accommodation in Penzance and I'm looking at another lead to a tour that will pick us up from there but we're also planning on taking a couple of the tours from St. Ives as well. Hope this helps!

Just want to say a huge thank you to Walt and everyone on this thread. I've just spent the past few days going through every single page and have learned so much. Really appreciate all the tips!!

We really wanted to do the Island Wings float plane in Ketchikan...it's to be our one splurge!! Has anyone else taken this? It's pricy ($240 each) but I think it will be one of those great memories from our trip.
We did the Misty Fjords float plane tour by Seawind Aviation four years ago and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!!! One of the most amazing tours we've ever done anywhere. Don't miss doing it - it's worth every cent.

Thanks everyone. I was hoping to hear that it wouldn't be a problem but didn't really expect that would be the case. We're always early for everything so the stress would probably ruin the last couple of days of the cruise for us. sddsddean - good idea about staying over a night in Southampton and we'd thought of that - but the flight is a lot more expensive the following day so not really an option with added hotel and increased flight cost. I hadn't thought of leaving the ship in Paris, Cotswold Eagle, and will definitely explore that option. We love Paris and wouldn't mind an extra night or two there. Really appreciate your suggestions and advice too, John Bull and Keith1010. Thanks for the help!

We're looking at a cruise around the British Isles at the end of June. We've found a flight that leaves Gatwick at noon on the day we arrive back in Southampton (at 5 am, coming from Paris the previous day). It's not a Sunday so I'm assuming we can take the train but we're wondering if time would be too tight. If we disembarked at 7 am (or even earlier if that's allowed) would we have enough time to get to the airport for 3 hours ahead of our flight? If anyone has done this I'd love to hear from them. Thanks!

Has anyone gone to this cafe near Mouse Island by cab? We don't want to rent a car, just want to wander around the town for a couple of hours after grabbing a cab to have lunch at this restaurant which was highly recommended by someone last year. I've tried to find a website for the place but can't see anything. Has anyone been there recently - and is it doable by cab?

We'd like to take a taxi over to St. Jean but are a bit concerned about getting a taxi back to Gustavia since we've read you have to pre-arrange for one. Has anyone had any trouble with drivers not returning to pick them up?

There are two US type and one Euro type outlet near the desk/vanity. There is also one US/Euro combo outlet in the bathroom for shavers.
Thanks clarea! That will work for us so we won't have to lug the power bar with us - one less thing! :):

Just wondering if we should pack a power bar. Are there enough outlets in the cabins? We have an inside. Only once have we needed extra outlets for our battery chargers, etc.

We've just delayed our arrival at the port - thanks for the heads-up. Sure glad I booked a flight a day later on the way back. :)

You just gave me a good chuckle, Laurba99 - too funny! :D

I feel like I'm going on a trip - or like when I was little and waited each night for the continuation of my bedtime story. Thanks - can't wait!
Have a fabulous time! :)
Has anyone been in Cabin 211 on Wind Surf?

We have until Thursday to firm up and I’ve been trying to find out if this is a good location. It’s an A Cabin aft. I don’t see it or anything very close to it in the Stickies and am hoping someone can give me some advice. Many thanks in advance!
