  1. Good Morning, I have a quick question I'm hoping someone could assist. My family and I last cruised on NCL a few years ago and much has changed. For this cruise, we signed up for the Dining package. Does anyone know how far in advance we can reserve our dining reservations and if it can be done online? We are leaving on the Dawn June of 2017.

    Thanks

  2. I know many cruisers think that they'll just use their own camera to snap a picture and the Cast Crew are wonderful about using your own personal camera to capture that photo, but I will say there is something about those Glossy 8x10 with Disney cruise border that is WELL worth it. We walked off the ship with over 100 photos so it cost less than $1 a photo.

Did you purchase a picture package?

  3. Hi everyone. This will be our first Disney cruise and, after many trips to the parks, my 6 year old daughter is looking forward to the meet and greets. I remember reading that you have to get tickets at the service desk for each of the greets. My question is, do all the tickets get disbursed on the first day for the whole cruise, or do they get released each morning for that day?

Also, for the officer pin trading, are there "tickets" as well for that, or is it a "walk right up" affair.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  4. Hi, my family and I have booked our first Disney cruise on the Dream in April, 4 day out of Port Canaveral. Can anyone tell me what the dress code is for dining? We have cruised many times with other lines and are familiar with theirs, but wasn't sure if DCL was different.

  5. Hi everyone, I'm leaving on the Liberty in a couple of weeks with my 6 year old daughter, who's a big Disney Channel, Nickelodeon fan. Is there a place I can find a listing of current TV stations the ships offer? We usually let her watch a cartoon show before she goes to bed.

    Any information is greatly appreciated.

  6. The one thing that used to frustrate us on DCL was the Shutters experience. Finding your photos used to be a madhouse of an experience and the prices are not cheap. For the most recent cruise we spend roughly $150.00 and obtained all of our photos on a digital file; we received the rights to download 10 of these photos and will take them to Costco ourselves to have photos finished, and can make as many copies as we want. The effective price for the 10 photos plus matte paper is around $18 per photo (including the DCL files and Costco charges) less than on the ship, and the extra copies are less than $2. What we really liked about this option was the ability to select our photos after we got home away from the madhouse of Shutters (although that has improved dramatically). This is a good option to consider unless you only wish to buy just a few photos.

One of the experiences my DD loves is the character meet and greets. We always get dragged into lines when she sees them at Disney World, so I can see us buying a lot of photos. The all inclusive package seems like the way to go.

  7. My family and I will be on the Dream in April and I was looking to see if I could find any information on photo packages on Disney Cruises. Specifically prices and such. Searching the web wasn't too successful.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

  8. I`m just curious to see how many people actully enjoy having to dress up for dinner on elegant night while on a cruise.

I did dress up on my first cruise last summer for both nights. I

will do it again this time around also.

But...if i had the choice i would much rather not have to,i wear enough suits while i`m not on vacation.

While on vacation i would prefer to just be able to dress casual, so i could do without it.

What about u? Enjoy it, or could u do without elegant night?

I understand that u can just eat at the buffet if u wanted to, but let`s say that`s not an option.:)

My wife really likes to dress up during those nights. it's something that we normally dont do while at home, so i bring along either a suit or tux (she prefers tux). My personal preference would be to skip it, but it's only one night and makes my wife happy, so why not? lol

We do skip the pictures though....we have enough dress up pictures in front of the steps, behind the piano, on the marble bench, etc. that they all start looking alike.
