  1. Today we arrived in San Juan and after touring the island for a couple hours, we were surprised that we are not allowed to get back on the ship. Apparently there was a "verbal physical threat made to the ship" so no one is allowed to get on, and folks who remained on board are not allowed off. There are dozens of police and fireman around the area and at the ship's entrance. We are suppose to disembark at 10 pm, it's only 7:15 right now. Anyone else know what's going on?

  2. Our kids have cruised 4 times with Royal and they do not have passports. We use their birth certificates and have never had an issue. This year we decided to get them passports but will not have them before we cruise in 7 days. That said, their birth certificates will be used, no worries.

  3. Yesterday on day 2 of our cruise the worst thing happened and my father became critically I'll and as we were at sea we were airlifted to Lisbon. I have a fear of flying so being winched off was very traumatic. There were loads of passengers taking photos. If anyone has any I would really like to see some . It may sound strange / morbid but I'd like to . If anyone has any please contact me , thanks

My dad is stable in ICU ,;we are all hoping he'll recover . Royal Caribbean staff have been amazing x

So sorry to hear that, hoping your father recovers. Glad he is stable. The video clip taken by the emergency staff is pretty incredible. Hopefully others may be able to share photos for you.

  4. That's my point... they DIDN'T buy the package and they WEREN'T complaining. You really didn't understand any of what was said.

They were stating, as many others have, that the drink packages simply aren't a good financial decision for them. Even on cruises with lots of sea days, they just don't drink enough to make it worthwhile financially.

Lol! I live the RIF picture in your response. It was perfect! Lol.

  5. We've done it with 3 people several times, one of which was our 6'4" son. He did not have any complaints about the Pullman bed, and believe me, if he had been miserable for 7 nights, we would have heard about it! I don't remember feeling crowded or miserable, or in danger of being elbowed!:D Granted, we do not usually spend much time in the room even when we have a balcony, but it wasn't bad and I would do it with 4 people if I needed to.

We wanted 2 cabins, but it wasn't an option since the only cabins left at the time we booked were 3 Jr. Suites going for over $6500 total. We only paid $1980 total with the BOGO. We asked ourselves if the extra space of being in a Jr. Suite together vs. an interior room was worth $4500 more, not worth it to us. We have cruised 9 times and always had 2 rooms so this will be the first time in one room together. I think we will be okay from hearing other people who have actually had 3-4 people in a cabin. Not the most comfortable, but doable.
