Thanks again for the info.will be a great help
No problem. We opted to register our credit card at one of the numerous terminals onboard rather than deposit cash. It's easy and you won't have the hassle of looking for balances due at the end of the cruise because that looked to be a bit of a scrum.
Enjoy your cruise and remember that, contrary to what some people on board think, the food won't run out if you're not first in the queue :)

Avoid the internet access on board. It's far too expensive at €15 per hour. Took us nearly an hour to disconnect lol

Hi thanks for the update.
We are on the Fortuna on Saturday. Was everything else OK with the cruise?
Was the entertainment in the evening OK?
I found everything to be great. On deck 3 there was a piano singer each evening who wasn't great but he was followed by 2 Spanish guys who were superb and lvened the place up each night. P on deck 5 there was dancing every night and separate acoustic guitar soloist in another lounge as well as the disco.
There was 1 gala niht, 1 itaian night and 1 white night but you'd never be noticed if you didn't join in. The dress code for each evening was smart/casual and pretty relaxed.
We were assigned the early sitting but spoke to the maitre d and got changed to late (9:15)
The bar staff and other waiting staff are excellent I have to say

Arn't you glad you asked.
How was the rest of the cruise?
I left a review on the Fortuna review page. Having had nothing to compare it with, I found it great. I would definitely cruise again and probably wit a different company just for comparison. The staff were excellent and if you can relax enough to allow the rude people to go ahead and not get involved in the shoving and pushing at lifts, disembarkations and buffets, you'll enjoy it better.

No worries. I'll try to get online feedback here as I go. Think there are 2 formal nights
Well, just back from my cruise and so glad I took the drinks package. I easily got value by having 5 or 6 coffees per day, glasses of water or soda and beers and cocktails at night.
Prices for coffee range from €1.55 to €3.60, small draft Carlsberg €3.95 and large would have been €4.95. My wifes Bicardi and coke would have been €8.45 each, large bottles of water would have been €3.49 each. Wine would have been €4.95 a glass
We were offered wine beer and water with evening meal as past of our drinks package
However all tea coffee water soft drinks were free with buffet meals if you don't take the drinks package
Definitely worth taking the package even if you don't drink much alcohol

Thanks for the clarification. First cruise, really looking forward to it

Thanks for all the information. I have ordered the drinks package and boarding the Costa Fortuna on Tuesday at Savona. Have to say I don't understand the wine only at meal times when wine is clearly listed as an available drink on the package. Guess I'll just have to argue the case on board

Thanks for the welcome and the information

Mulling over whether to go for this or not. At 25€ pp per day, does it include spirits eg bicardi rum and is there a daily limit.
Cannot get a reply from Costa??
Food choice at Breakfast in Lido?
in Costa Cruises

Just off the he Fortuna after 9 days on the Med. The lido is cold food only wi h a good variety of hot food in the MDR. Well staffed meant that wait was 5-10 minutes which was fine as there was toast etc available until hot food arrived. Avoid the full English though
