  1. Hi Danish Viking,

Reading through your posts has been a huge help. I have a few questions of my own:

    1. I'm arriving in Copenhagen at 6:00 on Saturday June 4. We're staying at Ibsens Hotel, and we'll probably want something to eat after dropping off our luggage. It seems that not many restaurants are open on weekend mornings, including Torvehallerne. The hotel offers a breakfast and I found that Cafe Europa 1989 on Strøget opens at 7:45, but both of these options would be pricey. Do you know of any good places for breakfast on a Saturday morning?

    2. For other food options that day I am drawn to L'appetit for a good vegetarian lunch and Spisestedet FEED for Smørrebrød for dinner. Do you have any experience with these restaurants?

    3. I noticed that CPH Distortion is that week. Will that cause any disruptions around the city center?

    4. After our cruise returns, our flight out is at 19:45 the same day. I plan to take the train to Malmö after dropping off our luggage at the airport. I have read that security measures have increased recently. Will it be a problem to make the trip to Sweden, spend a few hours there and then return for our flight?

  2. Hi Lars,

Wonderful thread you have here. It has been extremely helpful.

I will be in Alesund on June 7 with the Serenade of the Seas. If the weather is okay, I was hoping to do some hiking and get views from a little higher than Mount Aksla of the surrounding fjords and mountains. Something that will require about half a day and can be reached by public transportation. Do you have any recommendations?

My research so far indicates that Sukkertoppen is a reasonable option, easily accessible but maybe the views aren't much better than Aksla? Geitnausa also looks like a good hike. I would really like to get out into the Sunnmore Alps, but I don't know if I can easily get there. If you have any favorite hikes or viewpoints, I would love to hear about them.

    Thanks!

    Brian
