Great review. Iv heard that you can go to a separate muster drill for disabled people where it's all seated. I think this can be requested at guest services. I hope so anyway as we'll be cruising next week and Iv rheumatoid arthritis so certainly won't be standing for any length of time

Read the European news.
The ship is a long way from being finished.
There is no room service pool closed ect.ect.
Is it the daily mail article that you read? If so I wouldn't really class that as reputable news source it's more of a tabloid. I'd take it with a big fat pinch of salt!

I'm not from the uk. I'm from Ireland

Being October you'll probably need a jumper or cardigan for the evenings

Since we plan to take the DART from the Connelly St. station to Malahide, is that where the luas leaves us? I know O' connell st and the Tara DART station locations, but I'm not familiar with where Connelly St. is.
Thanks!
There's no dart station at oconnell street. Connolly is about a ten minute walk from oconnell street. Yes the luas leaves you right at Connolly station. The one station services the luas, the dart and the trains

No unfortunately not. I'm from Dublin
-
Good location and beauty hotel. Excellent cocktails! There are other hotels in old Georgian houses but I'd keep your reservation. You won't get a bandb experience in Dublin city
-
I'd get the luas from the 3arena into abbey street then bus from oconnell st to kilmainham. You can take the hoho bus or normal bus. The number 13 will bring you very close
-
The train is actually a tram system called the luas. The nearest stop would be at the 3arena. You could walk to it in few minutes from the port and it would bring you into o Connell st. It would be the cheapest option
-
For the bus just pay the driver when you get on. Make sure to have the right change. No big notes or cards
-
You only need to tap on and off if you have a leap card. If you are only going on one or two journeys it's better to just pay for each. You use the machine at the stop to get a ticket. They have inspectors on some trams and there's fines if u don't have a ticket but u don't have to validate it anywhere. I'm from dublin

I'm on that roll call too. I thought that was how roll calls were - it's our first cruise. Very excited for the cruise for our honeymoon. What else is usually discussed on the roll call? I suppose it's hard to talk about the ship when no one has sailed on it yet

Can anyone give a guess as to when the formal nights will be? Just trying to book dining at the moment.

Not all countries have that option. We don't so that's a shame

Hi all if we set up a cash account to avoid debit card holds (no credit card) can we buy obc before boarding (enough to cover what we'll spend on board) and then not put any additional cash into the account?? Also to the last poster, we are unable to get a credit card due to a bad loan over five years ago. In our country it takes seven years for bad debt to clear so it's not always current bills that people have that prevents them getting a credit card. Thanks

Apologies for my ignorance but I'm a first time cruiser. Myself and my husband will be going on harmony on 12th June for our honeymoon. We are trying to decide between getting the drinks package (think it's the premium one) or paying as we go. From reading your comments am I to understand that the prices advertised online are before the 18% gratuity? And there's now a Spanish tax?? That's crazy!! Also I'd heard of a 10 drink card...do you think this would be available onboard? We're not huge drinkers (despite being Irish!)

There'll be large taxis at the taxi ranks just like in every other country. If there's not the smaller taxis can just radio for a large van to come to the rank.

There wouldn't really be enough time for the ring of Kerry route. I'd recommend Galway and the midlands and Wicklow instead. We've a small country but it takes time to get around
-
Glendalough is a beautiful valley with a waterfall just south of Dublin. There's new grange in county Meath under an hour away. The Blarney Stone and the migrant village of cobh in cork which is down the south of Ireland. There's Connemara in Galway. If you want to spend your two nights in Dublin I'd go with Galway on one day (approx 3 hour drive from Dublin) and maybe Wicklow and Meath on the other day
-
I wouldn't recommend doing a day tour of the ring of Kerry if you're staying in Dublin. It would be a good idea to stay one night in Dublin and another near Kerry if you really want to do the ring. The ring itself takes 4-8 hours driving depending how much of it you want to see and the drive from Dublin-Kerry would be approx 5 hours. In Ireland our roads are much narrower and we do not have as many freeways. If you want to stay in Dublin only, I'd recommend a day trip to Belfast and giants causeway. Cliffs of moher would be approx 4 hours from Dublin. I live in Ireland and worked as an inbound travel agent dealing with mostly American and Canadian tourists so ask away [emoji4]

I'm going on my first cruise this June and have severe rheumatoid arthritis. I contacted special guest services and they put a note on my reservation for faster boarding on embarkation day. Also got a room close to an elevator. Like you I cannot stand in lines. I have a foldable stick that I use but I think the main thing is just to listen to your body. We're doing a med cruise so it's port intensive but we're skipping some ports and not planning anything too hectic. It's better to plan less rather than be disappointed that you can't do what you planned. I love the idea that the shows etc are repeated so if I'm too tired one evening we can just see the show another day

I don't think you need to know what medications he's on to advise on excursions for him. A little over the top I think. I have very limited mobility and will be going on honeymoon cruise this June. I would advise thoroughly researching the different ports to see how accessible and far away everything is. Just to note, Europe is not "bad" for disabled people. As another poster said they cannot do much with cobbled streets etc. Europe has a lot more castles and history. They cannot just install new amenities to historical places. Also just FYI the word "handicapped" is considered quite a rude word in Europe. Disabled is a much more politically correct word.

Yes that's the current uk and Ireland promo. All of their meals are included unless they want to go to speciality restaurants. They will also have to pay gratuities of $13 per day per person which will be automatically put onto their account. Also from Ireland [emoji4]
Harmony of the Seas Questions

I was on harmony on June 12th. Escape the rubicon is a brilliant activity I'd highly recommend prebooking as it's becoming very popular. I would recommend prebooking all shows. However we were only asked for our seapass cards going into grease so really anyone could go into any of the other shows such as headliners, fine line etc
