That's a bummer. Loved my cabin on 10 on Escape in Jan (at the foot of the solo lounge stairs and a non-connecting room). Will be in the same room in 17 days on Getaway. Every time I saw the main studio area doors open I closed them and told the crew not to leave them open. Not just for the folks having access to our lounge, but also safety reasons. There are main doors that requires a studio room key for a reason.

Looking forward to my 1st solo!

I'll be on Getaway - 1st solo. Anyone else traveling NCL over Thanksgiving? Are the ships usually full? Traditional Thanksgiving meal in some of the dining rooms?

No, I heard no noise in that room at the bottom of the studio lounge stairs. Nothing. It was great.

Twice I've chosen room 10503, right at the bottom of the solo lounge stairs - loved that location. But really any room near there would be fine too.

You'll be in a studio so you'll have solo lounge access. They do a 5pm meetup every day to plan dinners together if you wish to join...also shows together so if you don't want to be alone you'll have plenty of company.

I did my 1st cruise ever in January (NCL's Escape - was amazing) with a bunch of couple friends. I had a studio room on that cruise & had a lot of fun hanging with my new solo friends when my 'old' friends were too tired to hang at night. I'm booked on NCL Getaway in a studio for Thanksgiving week, 11/20-27. I like NCL because besides having amazing ships/cruises, the studio rooms have access to the solo lounge and they do 5pm daily meetups in the solo lounge - to plan dinner/shows together each evening so if you wish to dine with others you won't be alone. I made so many great new friends and had a blast every night.

I only noticed the doors on 10 & 11 -- I never had a reason to be on 12. I understand the crew propping doors open when they clean etc. but all other times all the main studio entry doors on all 3 floors should be closed so the non-studio folks shouldn't be able to wander around. It's up to all of us to complain if we see that happening. At the customer services desks is best so that all crew is made aware.
