It was almost weird how empty the ship was on Oasis last month while in port. The promenade was very quiet and a nice change.

Honestly, if you are that worried about going and nothing seems to be able to make you happy, just don't go. I would hate to be seated at a dining table with you if you're going to freak out about everything or run into you in a common area. Cruises are a time to get away from the norm, have fun, and relax. It shouldn't be this stressful.

I forgot to pack sandals on our last Caribbean cruise. I had to wear shoes and socks onto the boat for snorkeling and out near the beach. Being from Florida, I felt like such a tourist wearing tennis shoes everywhere.

That's correct. I may have mistakenly assumed that the OP was doing initial embarkation in Barcelona.
Oh that makes sense now! Guess we both read it differently.

You can carry it on board and take it anywhere on the ship without corkage fees. Their limit is 2 bottles per stateroom.
Isn't that only if you bring it onboard at the start of the cruise? I thought if you bought any alcohol from port they kept it until the last night of the cruise.

I was on Oasis for Halloween a couple years ago. They did a huge parade and a majority of the people dressed up. They also had a haunted house in one of the clubs.

I would love to get information on the Prohibition event, if you attend.
Also, can you confirm that beer and wine are free in the suite lounge all day from 11am to 11pm? I know others have said this but I don't know if it's dependent on ship and sail date. It will help me make a decision on drink package.
Thank you!
Have a great trip!

My wife and I did the prohibition event 2 years ago on Allure and have it booked on Oasis next month. We loved it hence why we booked it again!
You start outside of the lounge and they give you a password once they confirm you are on the list. Many people dressed up in 20s type clothes, although a suit and dress will do. You walk down an employee hallway and give them the password and they let you in. Once inside, they have a live jazz band with drinks includes and some light food. Drinks are ordered off a menu written to look like a newspaper since alcohol was illegal during prohibition. They do a few fun things during the event, and all the staff is in character the whole time which makes it really cool.
I definitely suggest booking it before your cruise as it sells out. Lots of people were outside wondering what was going on and it was too late for them to get in.

I can't recommend them enough! Our group used them earlier this month. Our driver, Gerry, was waiting for us at every place we went. He also spoke with the people at all the places when we got there to make sure we were settled in.
I would suggest finding out what you want to do, and make a schedule with a group that large. Your guide with have suggestions for you if you need it, but they do a great job of letting you choose.
