For my three cruises the end of this year. The soda and voom package was only $17. I jumped on that price. For November 2021 the price is $31 a day. That's way too high. I'll wait for that one to come down in price.

Wow thats great. I am glad it worked out for you. I was just trying to give people a heads up since some people may not check the website daily. I only checked because I had to do a name change on my reservation and was double checking for price drops.

I think that the OP may be an inexperienced cruiser, leading her to post "all".

But my September Oasis cruises (which may actually sail) have DBP for $44.

When did I say all? I said everyone that will be cruising. Let me clarify. Everyone and anyone that may be cruising may want to check the website if they are interested in the deluxe drink package. I have been cruising for 10 years but I do not need to list every cruise I have been on.

For our 12-7-20 12-night Southern Caribbean cruise on Anthem, DBP has dropped from $52/person to $39/person.  DBP + Voom has dropped from $62/person to $47/person.  Voom has dropped from $15.99 for one device to $11.49 per device.

Will I book any of these?  Nope. Royal owes me over $8500 in refunds for a cruise they canceled and for a cruise I canceled.  They have enough of my money tied up.

Wow!! I do not blame you one bit. That is alot of money to have tied up with them. I hope you get all of your refunds soon.

Our cruises are still showing $61pp (but can't buy anything on due to waiting for FCC to be applied).  If that rate is for two it is an excellent rate ($44+grat).  Assuming a 5 night cruise.  If your cruise is actually a 4 night cruise your price for two is $55pp+gratuities, which is about normal for "sales" these days.  Prices you see will vary between ships and sailing dates.

As with all Royal "sales," buy when you get a PRICE acceptable to you and keep watching for PRICE reductions.

This is for an actual 5 night cruise. I thought it was a pretty good deal. I did a little bit of math. lol

    Hello

We are going on the Anthem of the Seas in March.

I heard once you check in you are able to buy drink packages for only 1 of the adults in your cabin.

When you purchase online you must buy it for every adult in the room.

Just wondering if that is true.

    Thank you

My husband and I did that last year on our cruise. I already had the refreshment package pre-purchased and he bought the deluxe package once we got on board. This year I once again pre-purchased my refreshment package and I just called RCI and bought his deluxe package yesterday for $379 for a 7 day on Harmony. I'm not sure if everyone in the room has to have some kind of package but this is our 2nd year with only husband getting deluxe and we haven't had any issues.

  6. I am currently book on the Harmony of the Seas in November and I was wondering what is the distance from Appleton Estate Rum Experience and the Falmouth port? I made the mistake once before and booked the Dunn Rivers Falls excursion because Royal only puts the amount of time of the actual tour.... does not include travel time. Needless to say the entire day was ruined because the travel time was 2-3 hours each way in addition to the time specified for the tour. Has anyone taken this excursion and if so how long was the commute each way? Thanks for any help.

  7. When my cousin's family went they brought walkie talkies. They worked on the ship. That way when the husband and sons were on the lido deck, wifey could walkie talkie and find location. It was genius!!!! Also clorox wipes. Sometimes when they clean the rooms some things may get missed like remote controls, door handles, balcony tables and chairs, etc.

  8. We also choose balconies with cabins above and below us. Only once did we have a problem and that was on Carnival Liberty and we had a guaranty cabin. We were booked in a balcony that was below the Lido deck, where we hear scraping all night long and in the morning as we were across from the cabin steward's pantry we had noise from about 6AM on. Never again!

We also try to get a cabin mid-ships near the elevator. It's easy to get to either end of the ship and even though some shy away from cabins near the elevator because of noise, we don't usually have a problem. We did once on Carnival Dream with teenagers seeing their friends that they left probably 20 minutes before and yelling to them in the hallway. The same cruise one night the late night partiers came back from some bar or lounge quite drunk but happy and were singing very loudly all the way down the hall.

Our next cruise on Carnival Dream we are once again on the Verandah deck midship right next to the elevator. I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has experienced the problems being directly under the lido!!

  9. I always book a balcony with the decks above and below my cabin that have only cabins. I booked a balcony the deck below the lido and although the lido is closed after hours some people still go to the lido to hang out after hours and there can people noise from people pulling chairs across the floor, people hanging out and drinking, yelling, music, etc. That is just my experience.
