I have not stayed there in more than a decade because I have other favorites, but it maintains a stellar reputation.
What are your favorites? We are sailing out of SF next month.

Hi
I'm conscious that a few Ravenna related thread but nothing that addresses this question. We are a family of 4 and sailing from Ravenna at the end of next month. We are flying into Bologna and staying overnight and getting the train to Ravenna station the next morning. For our return journey we are getting the train from Ravenna to Milan ( not as awful as it sounds and was the only economical flight back to the uk).
There seem to be 2 options for getting from the train station to the cruise port - a local 90 bus and a taxi. I've priced the taxi and it seems to be 50 euros which seems very expensive. . The local bus seems to leave you close to the port but google maps implies that it's a 1km walk. Does anyone have experience of this as it looks to me that the Cruise terminal is actually just about 100 metres from the bus stop?
On the day in question we might just bit the bullet and get a taxi but then again there could be a lot of demand. Does the port offer any shuttles from the station to the cruise port of RCI?
Hello, do you mind sharing what hotel you stayed at in Bologna? And the train you took from Bologna to Ravenna was the Trenitalia regional train? My group of four is flying to Bologna for a cruise out of Ravenna in June and we are gathering all the different options. Thanks!

I drove myself. It's really easy. I drive myself everywhere in Europe.
Thanks for replying. You must have rented a car?

My family group of seven are on the explorer of the seas cruise in May next year. I’m trying to book flights and transfers now as I like to be organised and not leave things till the last moment. I’ve got a hotel and transfers booked for the arrival into Bologna airport (staying in Ravenna for a couple of nights) but haven’t booked the flights as yet. The flight options for the return are 11.40am or 16.40 to the London. Does anyone know if I’m able to leave the ship at 07.00 am and whether this leaves enough time for the 11.40 flight please. It just seems a heck of a long wait until 16.40 especially with a kid aged 1 1/2 as well as two other children. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Hi, may I ask what transfers from Bologna to Ravenna you have booked, and what hotel you are staying at in Ravenna? My group of 4 is cruising out of Ravenna in June and we're gathering information on all of our options.

I was just in Bologna last week. I’ll highly recommend the Aemelia Hotel. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the Center. Nice rooms and fantastic staff. It is a pretty drive down to Ravenna.
Hi, did you rent a car and drive yourself from Bologna to Ravenna, or hire a driver? Thanks!

I would also like to delete an album. There is an error or glitch on mine and it is showing the same album twice. I don't want either of them. Could this feature be something that is added in the future, for members to delete their own albums? Thank you for your help.

Lots of good points here, however we (just the 2 of us) have cruised the last 3 Christmases and loved it!

Exactly 200 days until the Splendor!

We've been on the Jewel 4 times. We love the ship and our favorite restaurant is Cagney's. We've also enjoyed many meals at Moderno and Teppanyaki. Enjoy your cruise!

29 days until we sail under the Golden Gate Bridge for a 15 day cruise to Hawaii for the holidays!

Thank you for this review, I enjoyed it very much!. We are also doing this cruise for Christmas and I'm excited! It's my first time to Hawaii (but not my SO's) :)

Thank you for your review, and especially for the info about the sunscreen. Where do you buy it, Amazon?

I haven't been overly bothered by kids on our cruises, though I would very be interested in adults-only cruising. I'd be even more interested to see 100% non-smoking cruises!

So it sounds like no one liked this stop! We have to spend an entire day in port (insert words of sympathy here). Does anyone have anything good to say about it or recommend??
I was just there on the Grand a week ago today. We enjoyed our day in Ensenada, possibly because it was our first time there :p We did the city tour & La Bufadora excursion. The "city tour" wasn't much, with the stop at the historic building that just seemed like a time-killer. But we had a good time at La Bufadora watching the spout and drinking pina coladas in hollowed out pineapples :)

Does anywhere on the ship have the Crooner's bar menu, with amaretto Manhattans?
