  1. We will be in Costa Maya on board the Fantasy at the end of July. It will be me, my wife and 2 sons (17 and 18). We have thought about doing the Jeep excursion through Carnival but we are wondering if it is worth 500.00. Is there anything else we could do? Has anyone rented golf carts? Or can I rent a Jeep on my own. Lets hear some suggestion's. The only thing is we are not interested in the Mayan ruins and a beach day because we will be at Mr. Sanchos the next day.

  2. We will be leaving on the Majesty in 6 days for a 3 night cruise. we have not sailed Royal Caribbean for 11 years and my boys have only sailed Carnival. What is the dress code for formal night in the MDR. Can I get away with slacks and a button down shirt without a tie or jacket. The boys are 16 and 17, they plan to wear black slacks and Under Armour polo shirts. Do you think there will be any objections? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  3. Good morning everyone,

My family and I are eagerly awaiting our 3 night cruise on board the Majesty. We haven't sailed on her since 2005, that was 11 years and 2 refurbishments later. Please refresh my memory. Are there hair dryers located in the state rooms and does RCCL have the soap/shampoo/conditioner stations on the shower. Thanks

  4. Leaving on the Majesty in 12 days. This is our fourth cruise. We sailed on the Majesty in 2005 and since then it has only been Carnival, so we have forgotten a little about RCCL since its been 11 years. First question is tea and water readily available during all hours. My wife also want to know if there are sift serve machines on-board, I assume there are but I don't recall it since it was 11 years ago. Thanks in advance.

  5. So my final opinion is that the paradise is an outstanding ship. She may be a little old but she is in great shape. Here are my good and bad

Good- MDR food was nearly perfect every night

Good- I loved the pizza pirate and the deli. The salad bar was great too and the omelette station

Good- the staff was the nicest on any cruise I have taken. My MDR staff was outstanding to say the least

Good- the shows were very well done and we all enjoyed them.

    Good- the lido grilled buffet.

Bad- the scrambled eggs were not very good every morning, but I had the omelets every morning, my wife complained about the eggs.

Bad- the bitter and blanc was not as expected.

Bad- debarkation took a little longer than it should have.

All and all an outstanding cruise ship. I would go again tomorrow. If anyone has any questions feel free to let me know.

Unfortunately we will be flying out tomorrow. We had a great day today at Clearwater beach. We had lunch at Crabby Bills, which is one of our favorite places to visit while we are here. We are staying at the Homewood Suites in clearwater which we have really enjoyed. All in all it's been a great trip. The only problem is it's 25 degrees in Illinois right now.

  7. I forgot to review the final night show. It was called shout and I think it was well performed. The male and female leads did a great job and I was impressed. We also saw both family friendly comedy shows and they were very good too. My favorite part of the entertainment was the band Blood Power they played in the Leonardo lounge every night and I was there to see them every time they played. They have some really great musical skills and perform the cover songs very well.

  8. Debarkation day. Arrived back in Tampa on time it take a little bit to clear customs for some reason. Steve Cassell made an announcement that they had some unforeseen issues. We started debarking at 9:30 out group was called at 10:00. Went through customs without any problems. Took a taxi to the rental car place as we planned to,spend 2 extra days in Clearwater. I will finalize everything is the next post.

  9. Last sea day went well other than being depressed that the cruise was over. Relaxed all day on deck, played some mini golf. We ate in the MDR again on the last night. Our meal was complete with a surprise complimentary bottle of wine from my PVP, we enjoyed it so much we ordered another one. I had the sushi for a starter and mahi mahi for my main course. I ended my cruise with the chocolate melting cake. Once again the food didn't disappoint it was superb

  10. After Mr. Sanchos and Cozumel we got back on board in time to take a little nap and get ready for dinner. This night I had wild mushroom soup for my starter and jerk pork loin for the main course. For dessert I had tiramisu. Everything was top notch again. After dinner we went to the show which was a 2 parter. The first part was a juggling act by cruise director Steve Cassell. It was really cool and very well done. The 2nd half of the show was breakdancing by fun force. They put on a great show and we all really enjoyed it. epyzunyv.jpgqe7atuty.jpgenyde9eh.jpg9uze9uga.jpgpubuzyne.jpgdyhajy4a.jpg

  11. After Mr. Sanchos we took the taxi back to the pier and did a little shopping. My mom bought a bunch of tshirts for cheap. My son bought a pair of "Oakley" sunglasses and my other son bought a wrestling mask. We were the only ship in port when we got there. When we returned there were 4 carnival ships there, the Elation, Paradise, Victory, and Dream. uvyqatav.jpg7ypejuzu.jpgujesymaq.jpghyqe4yme.jpgygere3as.jpgunyre3av.jpg

  12. Arrived in Cozumel at the international pier. Weather was great, pretty hot and humid. We took a taxi to Mr. Sanchos it was 32.00 one way for a van and there was 6 of us.

I never have anything bad to say about Mr. Sanchos, the service is always great and the food is tasty. We chose the AI and we all set and drank well. We all went snorkeling and saw a lot of small fish and a few big ones. The next pictures will be from Mr. Sanchos.

  13. Our second day on board was the Sea day it went very well got up early and ate breakfast at the buffet then went got some chairs. it was no problem finding the chairs although there are quite a few chair chair hogs. We attending the 8 seconds show and I thought it was an outstanding production. Had dinner in the MDR again for formal night. The lobster and shrimp was awesome. The only negative I have about any of the food was the bitter and blanc I had was just ok. BTW Steve Cassell the cruise director played a mean fiddle and he showed some other talents on the last night. Tomorrow we will be in Cozumel and we are going to Mr. Sanchos. ezubu5aj.jpgbyrehamu.jpg3umasu8a.jpgzu3y9ume.jpg7ebysa2a.jpgedyna7a6.jpg
