  1. We did this but it was back in 2018, who knows what has since changed.  After customs etc there was a place to leave your bag and they transfered them to the airport.  They give you the information for pick up at the airport.  There was an space in the baggage claim area to pick them up.  It worked out good for us as we had about 8 hours or so before we had to go to the airport.  I don't remeber if this was done by NCL or was an independent company that took care of us.

My wife and I  sail on the Pride of America April 8th.  Sunday April 9 is Easter Sunday and we are booked on the Road to Hana Tour on Maui.   My wife would very much like to experience Mass that day even if it is on line.  There is a chapel on POA and wondered if NCL would offer a service of some kind on Easter.  The other option is to view a Mass on line.  We have the ships basic WiFi packages but under stand that it is not suited for live streaming.  The other option is to download a Mass and watch it once we return from our excursion but have no idea how to go about that.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think live streaming a mass from the mainland before your excursion leaves would be the best option.  The wifi should not get as bogged down at 5 or 6 am so the streaming may be a bit better during the early hours.  My wife, for the first time in her 40 some years of life will not be attending Easter mass as we are cruising the same dates as you.  I have missed a few in my earlier years.

  3. I always have a back packwhich works good if you are a beer drinker. We took a couple off in the morning and went back to the ship for lunch around 1:00 the other couple grabbed their back pack and we had them each pretty loaded with beers went we went back to the island after lunch, had a great day there.

  4. Was on the same sailing. No Name that tune anywhere at all. Trivia was a bit different but still fun, some were really hard, only went to about 6 or so (won movie poster trivia and the landmark trivia which was very much the same as a previous cruise or two) as we were in a group of 6 so time was spent differently then when its just the two of us on the ship. Stayed on floor 10 which was a great spot as we were in between everything on the ship.

We all loved Harvest Caye, it was the perfect beach day. Got out after breakfast, went back to the ship for lunch and loaded up the back pack with beer from our UBP, went back to the beach for the afternoon, sand was good, water was warm, lots of shade to. We were a little choked that no food or drink was included like Great Stirrup Caye and did know this well ahead of time, but given that you dock right at the island it wan't a problem. Did NCL excursions at Cozumel (3 Reef Snorkel which was pretty good) Roatan (Tabyama Beach Party which we had done before and really enjoyed again) and Costa Maya (Salsa and Salsa which was a good time).

First night ate dinner at Osheehans, prime rib night which was ok, not near what we get at home but ok, after that had a couple dinners at each of the Lotus Garden (pot stickers, yum) Indigo and the Summer Palace. We really enjoy the food in the MDR's as we are lucky if we get on a cruise once a year or two for only a week at a time. There's nothing I can think of that I enjoy more then the Lava Cake. Breakfasts at the buffet every morning, ate 6 omelettes. Snacks/ lunch at buffet or hot dogs and wings at Osheehans. NCL must have quit with the poolside cookouts, was really looking forward to Mexican fiesta poolside at Costa Maya Sail Away but didn't happen. Really took advantage of the UBP, though we were never "hammered".

Overall it was an awesome trip which included the Fri and Saturday in NOLA with some really good friends, the wife and I really only travel by ourselves typically and were a little worried what it'd be like with the 6 of us and how we'd all get along aftre a few days but it was good. We really like this class of ship having also bee on the Dawn and Jade over the Epic which we did last winter.

  5. Worst thing about Epic is the elevator situation. Getting off at Great Stirrup Caye was rather frustrating as well mainly because other guest were quite rude and did not listen.

We had a great time on Epic. The deck chairs on floor 18 (or was it 19?) are the best and super quiet up there as well. Take the elevator on the left coming out of the Buffet to the top and make your way to the front of the ship.

  6. Hi everyone, we have 6 people - 2 adults, 2 21yr olds, an 18yr old and one 13yr old going on the Epic out of Port Canaveral on Dec 16th, 2017. We haven't cruised a lot and never out of Port Canaveral. We are flying into Orlando on Dec. 15th and I've been researching the least expensive way to get one night at a hotel and transfers over to Port Canaveral and back. I would appreciate any suggestions from some of you more seasoned cruisers.

We just did this in February and we got a rental car from the airport and returned it to Port Canaveral, used a shuttle from rental company from car drop off to cruise terminal. Was surprised at how busy and congested the terminal area was. We also had a car booked disembarkation day, took shuttle from terminal to pick up car and dropped back at airport. For 6 people a rental Van would likely be the less expensive way to go as you pay per person for hotel pickups to terminal drops. Also so many of the reviews for ground transportation were sketchy.

No matter what you do patience is a must. The PC car rental offices are small and understaffed. Also the only cars they have are what gets dropped of out there so you may not always get what you book, could be a problem for a group of 6.

  7. I was wondering if you did the theatre at night and if you would recommend not bothering with certain shows.....I know we all have different taste but I hate setting the time aside for theatre when I could be somewhere better.

    Welcome aboard show

Band on the Run I think I would like this one, did you see it?

The Grand Illusions of Haines Magic

    Showdown

    The Second City

    Elements

Fly Adage-Aerial Acrobats --this one doesnt sound all that great for a last night on board.

    Thanks,

    Janice

We were on the same cruise as the OP as it turns out, on the 9th floor. The shows in the Stardust were good. I was disappointed though that most were the same as last fall (2014) when we were on the Jade. Showdown and Elements were identical, the magician was very similar, if you haven't seen any of them before I would recommend going. Band on the Run was great, Second City had the crowd in stitches, I'm a bit of a comedic snob, but the guy beside me was belly laughing the whole time and him have such a good time my the show for me. We did not go to Fly Adage as We've seen very similar shows elsewhere. We had UBP and never had problems with lines or having to wait for drinks. Service at the pool was a little slow on the sea days, but I would just get up and go to the bar and be served very right away.

  8. We board at 10 am and sail at 4 pm. Will the NFL games be available for viewing onboard? If so, where would be a good place to watch them? Thanks-

We just on this cruise, they played them in Pearly Kings and had a big screen set up in the JAva Cafe. The games were also on channel 3 in the cabins. Pearly Kings isn't that large and fills up fast, also does not serve food. Most people were bringng in food from the buffet and wings from Blue Lagoon.
