1. When (how far in advance of cruise departure) is Check In Time selected?
2. Where do I select it?
Thanks! You are assigned a boarding time by Seabourn. You don’t get to choose your own.
We received ours 1-2weeks before we sailed after we received our boarding passes.- 1

If trying to do it on your phone the web site doesn’t work well. Try on a computer (laptop or desk top) works ok on these.

Alexandria, thanks for posting these questions. I would like to know also. We leave in 3 weeks and have just accepted and paid for an upgrade to a Penthouse. I didn’t realise that some of the perks from these suites would not be available to us.
Hope you can get some answers soon.

We did an Iceland Greenland cruise earlier this year. Iceland was beautiful but Greenland was an amazing rugged place. It was the highlight of our month long cruise. The ports were less touristy also.

1) I have never heard of one way air.
2) If you fly on the same day as embarkation / disembarkation you can purchase a transfer from Viking without Viking Air. If you purchase a pre or post trip extension from Viking, it includes airport transpiration to/from the hotel.
Thanks for your reply. We have lots of point with Emirates which we can use to get home. Might be worth booking our own flight and purchasing transfers. Will they transfer from a hotel or only the airport?

We were recently on Saturn and asked the future cruise agent about air. We also are from Australia. He said that the US passengers air is booked through agents in the Philippines while the Australian passengers flights are booked through Australian office. Hence the rules around booking differ as our regulations in Australia are different from the US.
I know I have seen other Australians who have asked a similar question. Try searching for Viking Air from Australia and see if that helps. -
We are taking the Voyage of Marco Polo in March’25, from Bangkok to Athens. We have never used Viking air so we have a few questions. For clarification we are coming from Australia.
1. Can we do a one way fare with Viking?
2. Do we have to use Viking air to get transfers to/from the port?
I’m sure there will be other questions but this is a start.😂 -
Glad to hear that the OBs are worth it. In all our cruises we have never had any be till our cruise in January. The price was just too good to resist. 😁

I was told by Seabourn, at least for Quest, that all V1 had partial metal on the balcony - meaning half glass, half metal. Is this different on other ships? We love to sit on ours and it played into our decision. For others it wouldn’t be part of their equation.
I found this you tube clip very helpful as it shows exactly what you get on a deck 5 balcony.

I have been trying to find the laundry room on the deck plan. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

We are fans of Seabourn having done 4 cruises pre COVID. We have now booked our first post COVID Seabourn cruise for early 2024.
Our question is: what changes have you seen to service, food or ships since COVID?

Hi Clay, love your posts. We are getting on Saturn on the second. Just looking at the webcam. There seems to be an issue it seems to have come loose we were looking at the sky and the deck. Different perspective😂.

Has anyone stayed in this suite? It supposedly has a deeper balcony.
Does this cause the room to be smaller for any reason? Any negatives you can think of?
Thank you!
We are cutting Marina in Ph 7130, next to us is PH 7128. It has a deeper balcony with both lounges and chairs. 7th deck has two PH with these balconies and 2 with the larger wrap around balcony. 7128 is a normal PH size, 7130&7135 are slightly narrower so that the balcony can extend down the back of the boat.

We are doing the same as you next week. Have booked a hire car and tickets to Windsor Castle for that day. Then off the Southampton.
We have also just booked a tour of the Bombay Sapphire Distillery in Whitchurch which will do after Windsor Castle. Sounds like a great day.

We are flying from CLT to LHR day before our August departure from Southampton port. Have hotel reservation in Southampton. We get into Heathrow around 9 a.m.. Windsor Castle is other option, or just go to Southampton?

I use one of those at home, and when I travel in the US, but have made do with a pillow on top of one of the couch throw pillows on Oceania. I will be interested to hear if they are available.
I have had a phone call from our Oceania TA. She had asked the Miami office (we are in Australia) they said that they only have memory foam pillows. Have decided to order these for the room but will probably take ours.

I don't know if you an Oceania specialist as a TA, but we do. She takes care of all our special requests.
I have sent a request to my TA at Oceania. Thanks

These are our pillows too! We got some of those compression bags with the hand pumps on amazon. Because they are memory foam the pump compresses them to about an inch thick and they fit nicely in a large suitcase. We have been doing this for several years and it works great! When you open them when you get to your destination they pop right up, good as new!
We normally do also but they are quite heavy. I was trying to reduce our baggage weight if possible.

We are new to Oceania and are cruising in about 3 weeks. Unfortunately the feather and hypoallergenic pillows do not provide enough support, we can bring ours from home but they are quite heavy. At home we use a foam pillow like the one below. Can anyone tell me if these are available onboard?
Thanks

I found this video helpful. It is if 7135, we have booked 7130 for Baltic cruise in July.

Our Spa bookings opened today. This raised a quest for me. Is there any benefit to booking on MVJ or should I wait and book onboard?

I believe it is 12 noon Pacific time in the United States. At least that was our opening time. So for us it was 2 pm central time in the US. Good luck. We did not have any issues getting the excursions we wanted.
Thanks. Looks like I am waiting up tonight to do our excursion bookings.
-
We received our email stating that the shore excursions open at 12noon. Which is the same as the website. We are in Perth Western Australia. I was thinking 12noon pacific time was Eastern Australia. However now the email has come I am confused as to when they will open.
It is now 10 am here in Perth so they should have opened if my original assumption was correct.
Help please.

We finally submitted our acceptance of MSCs Ts & Cs and waver requirements form and sent it back to the TA about4 weeks ago. The TA said they would not pass the refund and all other costs (airfares etc) until that was done…. Still waiting…. We did however get the refund directly from MSC for the $900 odd for the shore excursions we booked directly with MSC. A small win I guess but still waiting for the big refund

I was just looking at the 55day cruise from Singapore to London leaving March this year. Looks amazing. I was wondering for those booked on this cruise what have you heard from Viking about the transit through the Red Sea/Suez?
I have checked the Roll Calls but can’t find anything. I think it might be part of the World Cruise.
