  1. You're not kidding! I took the water temperature while on the island this past Thursday. 72 degrees. Too cold to swim for me.

Yup I was there Thursday. Front of the island the wind was BAD. Went around back by south beach and it was much better. My husband still managed a sun burn though lol

  2. Having just been there I hope warmer weather for you. I can tell you that we found it very cool and windy while on the island. Not many people swimming. No one floating on mats the water is not warm enough to just lay in it right now. People renting wet suits lasted longer in the water. Shade was not something I looked for because it was cold in the shade. We were looking for sunny spots and I wore a wind breaker the majority of the time we were on the island.

  3. Side notes from a new cruiser

Drink package was offered till the end. We bought one on the last day and used it at coco kay.

Can't bring shells back from coco kay, if that's posted anywhere I missed it. Sad about that one.

We brought a checked bag with a 12 pack of water bottles and 6 pack of mt dew, no issues, it was delivered to our room.

Walk to the south beach or further at coco kay. If you stay near the food it's crazy busy and windy.

It was quite chilly for our trip, bring a good jacket.

Lesson learned in line at guest services lol. Don't pack everything while in your pj's and put your bag out for the porter the night before you disembark. Woman at guest services trying to track down her friends bag so the friend didn't have to disembark in her pink nightgown since she forgot to set aside clothes lmao.

  4. Sorry to hear that you did not feel well this morning. Hopefully you two had a great day at Sea. I am planning to head out to Nassau to walk around. There is the queens staircase and a pirate museum close to port. Hopefully you will have a better evening today.

Very nice evening, got all dressed up for dinner, got lovely pictures. Then changed and had seats for t and center on deck 4 for the disco party. I may have drank to much and been dancing while hu by laughed. We to hit the comedy show. Now to bed for fun tomorrow :)

  5. We are sailing on her next Friday! I know that I have seen that they will allow kids in the Solarium if the weather is poor. Do you know if they have allowed kids in there during this cold spell?

And, is that pool any warmer since it is indoors?

I have seen quite a few kids in there and not seen anyone asked them to leave. Pool in there is not very warm though.

  6. In true small world form my husband and I were at the next table at Chops last night from Ander. I'm sensitive to motion so I was a bit green this morning. Took a Bonni and feel better now. Just got an email that our scuba was canceled for tomorrow in Nassau with Stewart's cove due to weather conditions :( very sad now. Also wondering what that means for the weather.

  7. Sad as it is, going back is probably best. They can repair things, check for more serious damage before the next cruise. Better that cosmetic patches. There is probably a lot of expensive stuff that needs to be checked. I hope they help people find hotels if they have to debark. I also wonder if they are wiping tabs on this cruise for drinks and such. I hope the trip home is safe for them. It's very calm here at Port Canaveral but weather calls for high winds tomorrow. We are on Enchantment and high wind advisory for the Bahamas tomorrow so hoping we are not In for a bumpy ride tomorrow. I admit hearing about Anthem has made me nervous

  8. Anytime you purchase something on-line for your cruise you will have to pay for it by credit card. If you wait and purchase it once on board, it will be added to your SeaPass Account and any OBC that you have will offset the charges.

OBC usually appears by 4PM on Day 2. Enjoy your cruise.

Wait, My OBC will not be available to me on day one when I board? I wanted to use it to book Chops and an excursion. Can I call to book those and use it or does it all have to wait till we are on board. I'm only on a 4 day cruise so if it doesn't show up till basically half way through the cruise I'll be pissed.

  9. Hello, we sail on Enchantment on Feb 8th. We have a balcony state room booked and I'm wondering how hard the beds are. My husband is a disabled vet with a steel rod and screws in one leg from an injury sustained during his service. Hard beds are very uncomfortable for him as a result. So much so I'm trying to decide if I should try and cram a memoryfoam topper in a suitcase or if asking for the egg crate things would be enough. Anyone sail recently have any thoughts on the beds? Thanks
