I echo the opinions referenced in most posts. Indeed, X & Princess are more similar, than different.
I'm Elite on Celebrity and Platinum on Princess.
Both, Cruise Lines offer a terrific Product.
I've sailed many Trans Atlantics and extended B-T-B with both lines.
I would give a slight edge to X on food and Princess for on board activities.
Both, lines attracted a similar demographic.
That, said, I love X Aqua Class.
Princess has nothing like it.
Yes, they're trying with a roped off restricted dining section in the MDR.
But, it's Not Blu.
Itinerary & Pricing drive most cruise decisions.
And, I feel, if one line offers a 'better' or more desirable itinerary, then book it!
In the past, few years, myself and other CC Members have noted that 's X's Big, Better and Best Promotions offer better
'value' for your cruise dollar, than Princess.
Base rates for most cabins on both lines are fairly equal.
But, Princess has resisted offering a Beverage Promotion on most sailings.
I'm far from a lush, but love fresh OJ, Specialty Coffee, water, a beer at the pool, a before dinner cocktail and a glass of wine with dinner.
At, the end of the day, choose the Line that offers 'you' what you seeking in a cruise experience!
For, Me, it's X...

 Yes !
Booked directly with Celebrity on New Year's Eve.
My TA Office closed for the day.
Called and attempted to transfer to my TA.
SOL !

My wife & I are also, on the Reflection in March in Aqua.
I'd be interested to see a new menu for Blu, if, available.
-
I'm sailing Epic in November.
Can anyone provide me the Dining Program Limited Menu for Cagney's?
I called NCL. And, they told me that with a dining package, you could select Cagney's.
However, you must choose off of a 'limited' menu.
When asked, 'What does that menu include'?
NCL couldn't/wouldn't provide that information.

I'm a veteran Cruiser. Platinum on Princess, Elite on Celebrity , Diamond on Royal, and have sailed Cunard and Costa 200 + days at sea.
First sailing on HAL. I'm booked on a 19 day in the Med in mid April.
Very disappointed that HAL does Not allow shared Loyalty Status with it's other Brands.
Royal, Celebrity share Loyalty status.
Also, I've booked guarantee cabins before and never waited until final week before cabin assignment.
Having read these HAL Boards, it evident that late cabin assignment is quite common.
I'm 4 weeks out and received a call from my TA.
HAL wants to upsell me to a Signature Suite for an additional $850 pp.
If, accepted, I receive nothing but a larger cabin and flowers and a better robe.
I don't get a beverage card, internet, free laundry, specialty restaurant or any additional OBC.
How is this a 'good deal' ?
I declined and will take my chances with a VF or better.

I'm booked on a B-T-B Med Eurodam Cruise in April.
I fly out of Orlando on Air Canada (MCO) to Toronto. From there, Air Canada directly to
Barcelona.
The return is 21 days later from Venice on Delta to JFK and JFK to MCO.
I checked with various web sites and couldn't beat/match Hal's air fare.
I'm flying into Barcelona one day prior to cruise and extending in Venice one day post cruise.
No problems from Hal with these air arrangements.
-
Well, thanks for the Eurodam update.
And, welcome aboard the 19 Day Back-to-Back.
Janis & I are doing a one day pre-board in Barcelona.
Then, a one day post in Venice.
Please check the CC Roll Call Board for this Sailing.
Several of us are posting information on private tours.
We're still looking for folks to join some groups.
Hope to meet you on the beautiful updated Eurodam!

Will be sailing on the Eurodam Apr 2016.
I'm going Back-To-Back for 19 days Barcelona to Venice.
Just read, that the Eurodam was in dry dock in December.
Does anyone have pictures or details of the refurbishment?
Did it go beyond carpet replacement ?
I've never sailed on HAL.
Elite on Celebrity, Platinum on Princess.

We're on your same Reflection sailing. The Hampton is terrific for a pre-cruise. The EPIC is another fantastic Port Location $$$$. Winter rates are in effect and prices are high.
Last time in Miami we tried Aloft. Nice, clean, but no equal to the Hampton. We utilized Hampton
shuttle service to the Port. It was quick and efficient. Upon, return a taxi will return you to the nearby downtown hotels for $15-20. And, the other posting is correct. Great restaurants in Brickell area within walking distance. Perricone's is one of my faves!
-
Thanks!
I know the loyalty programs are honored on both lines.
But, was hoping the same was true for all promotions.
-
It's come to my attention, that RCI offers a pre-cruse booking promotion for their Specialty Restaurants.
If, you pre-book, three or more they will offer you a 30% OBC.
Does anyone know if this also applies to Celebrity Cruises?
-
I'm booked there in October.
Glad, I could help.
-
I'll be flying out of Miami for a 14 Day Transatlantic Re-Positioning Cruise back to Miami from Barcelona. Should I park at the airport? And, get a taxi from the port back to the airport to pick up my car.
Or, should I park at the port and do the reverse?

Paral LEL Hotel very near the port and close walking distance to Las Ramblas.
St Maarten stop replaced by St Kitts
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
We docked in St. Kitts on Celebrity 'Reflection'.
Great, port !
Take the old sugar train excursion around the island.
It''s fun and the views are amazing.
