  1. So nobody was there when you went to return the towel. You couldn't have maybe 10 minutes later tried again? Same happened to me and I went back with the towel 10 minutes later and checked it in.

There are signs stating that you will be charged.

You could have returned it the next day

  2. So, I just found out that since we will be in port from 2-11:30pm...2pm their time is 3pm.

Is there actually going to be enough time to go to the beach this late? I believe sunset is at 6:53pm, then factor in travel time. It has me wondering now. :(

    I thought it was 1pm to 10pm

  3. With all due respect. You make absolutely no sense. It's not a question about being FORCED to be amongst smoke. A person smoking in the casino, and has the smoke leave to the promenade deck a person has no control over. Or, a person, disregarding the no smoking on the balcony rule, smokes next to someone who doesn't want to be around smoke isn't being FORCED to be there. They are where they are supposed to be minding their own business. With regards to alcohol and a person's liver, that only, without a doubt affects the drinker liver and no one else's.

You are wrong. I am FORCED to be around people who drink in excess up to 15 drinks. They become obnoxious and in many cases dangerous. My cousin was killed sitting in a bar by an overly drunk man because he didn't like the way he looked. I have seen many a fight on cruise ships and they are ALWAYS drunk and someone ALWAYS gets hurt.

I don't think by you walking by someone smoking it's going to kill you

  4. I love the idea except for one little tweak. Leave the gold out of this. I am gold, have 9 cruises with Carnival under my belt and honestly, 95% of diamond and platinum's I have met are arrogant, can do no wrong attitude people. They complain about everything just to complain. I guess they feel entitled. Yes, carnival should have cruises JUST FOR THEM!

  5. Packs are $11.00 here in Yonkers, NY. I always stock up onboard. The only problem is I smoke Newports, and the ones bought onboard, or on the islands are heavier with menthol than the ones states side.

But at that price point, it's really hard for me to skip.

    ($4.00 a pack.... sheesh!!!)

I live in Yonkers now to.

  6. So, am I just reading this incorrectly? Cigarettes are CHEAPER on the boat than at home??

I pay $6.50ish per pack here and was planning on taking plenty because I smoke more when I drink and rarely drink when not on vacation, so, I wanted to be ready.

I remember when cigarettes were $3 here, we went to Vegas for our honeymmon 12 years ago and they were $7 per pack.

So, if they're cheaper there, I may just not stock up before hand.

Lucky you!! We lay here in NYC $12-13 a pack!!

  7. Hi - thanks for answer questions.

I was looking at Fun Times from November. We aren't sailing until late in June. So I know things will be different, different CD and I'm sailing after the 2.0 upgrades.

But I noticed on nights when there was only one show it starts at 9:30, sometimes after the room was full of Bingo players (and there is nothing wrong with Bingo playing). When they did have 2 shows, the early show was 7:15.

My problem is we have chosen the late dinner. And we like shows. And I've been known to play Bingo now and then on a cruise ship.

So 7:15 show when dinner is 8:15 isn't too bad. But Bingo at 8 won't happen if I have late dinner and getting a decent seat for a 9:30 show when I'll be running there after dinner, seems like it's not really good timing.

Yes, I do have a questions after all this.

Do you remember if the shows and dinner schedule was so tight on your cruise? Did you have late dining, early dining or any time dining. If you had the early dining, did it conflict with activities?

I'm torn because I'm thinking I should change to any time dining, but I've read horror stories of lines for anytime dining. Plus I like to have the same wait staff and meet people that we get seated with for dinner.

I've never been on Valor, so I don't know if the restaurant is right next to the theater or the other side of the ship.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

We did have late dining. And having been lucky enough to share a table with a bunch of great people, we didn't get out of the dining room very fast. But as far as I remember, when we did try to eat and get out fast to catch the late show, it has already started and there were not a seat to be found.

I am with you that I like the same staff and not having to deal with the Anytime Dining. You also have to get to the theatre early to get a seat. So, you are kinda out of luck with the late dining.

There are 2 dining rooms. One is closer to the Theatre than the other.

  8. Am I on another world here? Do you know what the OH costs are?? You do realize we live in a planet that prices go up every year for pretty much EVERYTHING! My home internet just went up $10 a month. I am getting the same service. Do you know WHY it went up? Do you understand this process?

In still waiting for you to answer the other questions about your IT and Website work. Maybe, I doubt it, but maybe you will understand and learn something
