I'm Elite+ and have cruised in the same cabin with family members who were classic in Captain's Club. If you are invited to an event (Elite Breakfast, Heli-pad Sail Aways, Wine Tasting Event, Backstage/Bridge tours, Welcome Back Cocktail Events, etc.) then your cabin mate will also be able to attend with you. Your cabin mate will not receive any free CC happy hour drinks, laundry, match plays, etc.
that’s just the information I was hoping for. Thank you for your answer
-
Thank you. Will do that but if anyone has had experience, would appreciate any information
-
I’m Elite but my cabin mate is not. Are there special invites that he would be allowed to accompany me?
-
No one ever mentioned refundable. We’ll just go ahead and spend it.
-
Thanks for all your concern. I agree, should have been returned to my credit card but wasn’t worth any more arguing with the supervisor. I think we’ll have no problem spending the OBC. But, doubt we’ll ever do move up again. We’ll enjoy the large family veranda, just hope being under the buffet doesn’t turn out to be a problem.

The suggestion to call Captain’s Club worked. They could see that the bid was $200. Tried to say additional $240 was for tipping but saw that tips had been prepaid. Admitted tipping for OV and veranda are the same. Tipping has gone up but since prepaid should not have been changed.
thank you for that suggestion$240 was not refunded but given as on board credit which is fine

This is wrong; you should have been charged the bid amount of $400. Have you tried calling the Captain's Club number (800-760-0654)? In my experience, the people who answer that number are often more helpful than the people who answer the general number.
Thank you. I called Celebrity, I’ll try Captains Club

10 night cruise, 2 people should have been $400. Tipping had already been paid. They charged an extra $240 above what we were bargaining for

Terrible move up experience. We’re booked in an OV cabin. Bid $200 for a move up. We’re assigned to a family veranda under the the buffet and charged $640. Called and was told additional cost was because extra tipping. There are just 2 of us and tipping was already paid in our fare. They will not talk to us farther, said we have to email moveup department. No one has of yet gotten back to us. Is this normal or fair? I’m Diamond Plus with Royal, Elite with Celebrity

How is tipping done for elite happy hour drinks. Do they present you with a bill or just give you the drink and you slip them a buck or two

Last night onboard do new drinks load at midnight? Could you get fresh orange juice departure morning and not be charged
-
Me again. Thanks for the good information.
I wonder if day of departure you can use them for fresh orange juice or even a bottle of water.
-
Being Diamond, when do the free drinks begin and end? Can you get one of your drinks before you get to the cabin day one before you pick up your Sea Pass? And after midnight going into the last hours onboard, do they load one more time? Our cruise recently was delayed until noon getting off, could we have had a drink while we were spending that extra time onboard?

Thanks, I guess I'll just wait to get notice from RC.

First time doing Alaska. We'll be doing a 3 day land tour before our cruise on ROS starting out in Anchorage. Will we be met at the airport, or given instructions to go direct to a hotel?
-
We're Diamond Plus and just got off Legend, we received 2 - 24 hour internet uses each. They could start anytime of day, carried over to the next. We would start at around 3 in the afternoon which would end 3 the next day making it like getting 2 days for one. It was a 15 night cruise and by splitting our time between the two of us it was like getting 8 - half days of free internet. Plus it was wireless so could use it anywhere on the boat. We loved it!
-
We're on this cruise too. We already were on Enchantment 6 times this year, tired of Nassau. Were really looking forward to Saint Martin

Thanks for all the info. I signed up for the towel, but I think hubby signed up for wine. Either will be fine, think we're doing Chops so if we get wine we'll just take it there to enjoy. Thin beach towels are nice because they dry quickly in the sun. Use to have a pool and kept a supply of thin beach towels, kids would swim, I'd hang all the towels on the fence, they'd dry, I'd fold and stack and they always thought they were getting fresh towels. Worked great

Just made Diamond Plus and have to choose new gift. Use to just get a bottle of water each as Diamond. What's now the best choice? Is it a small bottle of wine? What are the towels like?

We were on Allure in March. First visit to JR's was great, second time - not so good. Maybe because it was later in the week, more had found out they serve "free" breakfast and it was more crowded
-
Yes, I figured we'd have to show both cards. Daughter & husband will sail with us so she could be My BOGO and he could be my husbands. A nice night out. I also remember when it was hard to get a reservation in Chops. One of our last cruises dinner there came with our booking as a promo and it still wasn't crowded, but the steaks were yummy
-
Thanks, that was a quick reply. We just turned diamond plus. If we went with another couple that's not Diamond could we pick up the tab and make them the free one?
-
I use to hear that people would got to Chops on the first night of the cruise because it was buy one get one free. Is this true and is it on all the ships? Or maybe it for the higher levels in rank only? I asked once at the restaurant and was told they didn't have any discount.

Great review, was on this sailing and am re-living the cruise through your review. We had beautiful weather with very calm seas. Loved the Allure and look forward to sailing on her again
