  1. Here is the video of Danny leaving the cabin on the Victory 10. Regular cabin, not handicap room.
Did need to remove the arm rests though.

Thank you for taking the time to come back and post the results. My husband uses a mobility scooter. We always get at least one modified cabin so he can get the scooter through the door. We had a second cabin on our last cruise that was a regular cabin, and the door was really narrow and it would have been a tight angle for him to even turn the scooter and come in straight-on. It is really good to read the outcome because a lot of people never come back and share how it turned out. As you know, the number of modified / accessible cabins on a ship are very few, so this helps!

  2. Do any of you who have had this cabin 11201 on the Breeze happen to have pictures of the cabin? We are going on a cruise later this year and this was the ONLY modified/accessible cabin for 4 still available on the ship, (although there are 35 total accessible or modified cabins, there are only a handful with an occupancy of 4, so our only choice was this cabin, or book 2 cabins for 2). I've seen the YouTube video of the same room on a sister ship, but was curious about 11201 on the Breeze specifically.

    Thank you in advance!

  3. Anyone tried Grand Park Royal Cozumel All inclusive Day pass recently? If so, what did you think? I looked on their website, but don't find info about the day passes there. I tried emailing them through the website but haven't heard back. So if anyone has tried them in the last year, can you share how you contacted them, how much it was and if you enjoyed it. Any info appreciated!

    Thanks!

  4. Our cruise will be stopping at Cozumel on Christmas day this year. Normally we would go to Mr. Sanchos, but this will be a Sunday this year (they're closed Sunday). Has anyone been to Cozumel on Christmas? Do you know if the shops/restaurants near the Puerta Maya pier are open on Christmas? Are they normally open Sunday?

  5. Passengers from the late November and early to mid-December sailings on the Carnival Liberty are being shuffled over to the Freedom, and they actually had to cancel one of the Freedom cruises to accommodate the change as the Liberty will be going to Dry Dock. Seems that they would normally plan these things out before booking the cruises, rather than changing things around less than a year before the sailing (other than for urgent repairs). My sailing on the Liberty is actually after the ship is due back from dry-dock, but still makes me a little nervous as to what happens if they don't get the work done in time.

Anyone know what the reason for the dry-dock is?

  6. Of THAT cabin on Liberty? no. but we have stay in the same type of 4J on the Freedom and Conquest. We like them. They are no smaller than any other oceanview room and the obstructed view just means that your window looks out on the deck/walkway. But that is the beauty of these cabins.. you pay an interior price and get an oceanview window. And you get a near private balcony (although you have to go out of your cabin to use it.

    Hi Sailor_jimc!

Thanks for the reply. I have actually stayed in a 4J before on the Empress deck of the Triumph, (and loved it), but this one looks so small on the deckplan and I have heard people refer to it as being about as big as a "broom closet", so I was just curious. I know I will have a great time anyway, but was just curious. :)

    Thanks again.

  7. Does anyone have any pictures of cabin 9201 on the Carnival Liberty? I know on some ships this cabin has been updated to 6K, but on the Liberty it has not been remodeled and is a small (and not handicap modified) 4J interior with obstructed view that looks out onto the observation deck at the front of the ship..

If anyone has pictures of that particular cabin I would appreciate it.

  8. We were just in Coz last weekend with a scooter. There are vans at the taxi stand (mini-vans and larger vans). We shared a larger van with another family and the scooter just went up into the back. On our way back from Paradise Beach, there was a lift-van available, so we took that. No issues at all! BTW ... I don't mind tipping well when we get help with the scooter, but they will try to play the sympathy card. Our driver even tried to show me a scar on his back!

Thanks for the info! We just want to get from point A to B and back again on time. If the driver we get wants to play the sympathy card, no problem, I load and unload the scooter by myself all the time, but you're right - the more helpful he is, the more generous I would be!

  9. We will be cruising to Cozumel on Carnival and going to Mr. Sancho's soon. This will be our first cruise. It will be myself, two teenagers and my husband. My husband can stand and walk for short distances with his cane, but other than that uses a mobility scooter to get around. I know there are taxis waiting not far from the pier, but I am not sure if there are any that will be able to take us to Mr. Sancho's with Husband's scooter. He can get out of the scooter and ride in the regular seat of the car, but would need a taxi that has room to put his scooter for the ride over. The seat comes off and the handle folds down so it would fit in a large trunk or back of a minivan *if* there is a taxi with enough space. How do we find an appropriate taxi once we get there (and more importantly how do we get one to take us back to the pier to get back on the ship)? Any advice from those in the know would be appreciated!
