  1. Sorry for the lack of updates but it was and still is a lazy day onboard. Many others choose to stay onboard with us as well. I had some awesome naps in the solarium, indoor pool area and the outdoor pool area :)

Our only neighbor today, Carnival Ecstasy..

Pool was extremely empty earlier but is now packed as the temps are hitting 80 or hotter in the sun!

  2. With out looking into it, I have no definitive answer regarding purchasing before hand or onboard.. maybe before hand there are some discounts? Hopefully someone can chime in to offer some clarification.

SOMETIMES you can catch good deals online, but you usually always get a deal by booking on the ship (first day you will find people outside the speciality restaurants with promotions). And usually night 1 is cheaper as well.

  3. Thank you Seadog for all the great information you're providing all of us during "your" vacation! I'm not sure if you can answer this or possibly anyone following along? We're on the March 9th, 8 day sailing and have purchased the drink package however there have been differing opinions as to what the package limit is per drink. I've seen both $12 and $13, the latter being stated for Quantum and Oasis class ships. Can you or anyone following please confirm what it may be?

    Thank you in advance!

We are on the 3/9 Anthem cruise as well!!

  4. Hello,

The last cabana we stayed in was on Labadee in the suites only section (believe it was Barefoot Beach). My question is - it appears that the cabanas on CocoCay (I’ve never been) are not as secluded and are not as close to the beach. Frankly - they don’t look as nice either.

Can anyone give me details and if you have used both cabanas what your experience was?

Also - which cabana did you like best as CocoCay?

Thank you in advance for your KIND words.

  5. Hello! With Star Class - in Cococay - i was told by a RC agent over the phone that the cabana was no extra charge. Can someone please confirm if that’s correct? When we last went to Labadee, (we were Sky Class though) and it was almost $450 (we did the over the water cabana, and that’s what I want again!). Our cruise is in March, so hopefully they are back to functional by then (from the hurricane).

  6. A few days prior to the cruise we used the Loop to send a test communication with our Genie Alexandra to see if we were linked, and after a few hours we heard back. Perfect.

So on embarkation day we ordered our Uber and then proceeded to call the Genie at the number we were instructed to. Without it even ringing at our end the phone immediately goes a voice message stating the following "This number is not available".

Wait, what?? So I hit redial. Same message. I check the email to see if I am dialling the right number and yes I am. OK then, Uber is still coming and we are still headed to port.

I know, I said to Lisa, we can send a Loop message. So we did, stating that we are on our way and if Alexandra needed us she could call my cell. Perfect, easy peasy. As we are pulling into terminal 18 I try calling the cell number one last time and wait for it... the number is still unavailable.

Our Uber driver pulls up to the Terminal 18 and we get out along with our luggage. We say our farewells and that's when things start going downhill in a bad way.

Unfortunately that's where I'm going to have to leave if for tonight, but I will be back tomorrow.

    What a cliffhanger! [emoji6]

  7. Thanks so much for these recent picture. My husband and I have this same room booked (1724) on Harmony for the 5/5/18 sailing! We are taking my brother as a graduation present. My one thing I don't like is no privacy screen for upstairs.

From your pictures, I see you can see like the basketball court really well, but do you have a good side view of the ocean? (If we look directly below the balcony, will we see water or other rooms)?

    Also- what's your periscope name?!

    Thanks again!!

  8. Here is a suggestion. If you prefer not to walk past someone's decorated door, then make sure you have two possible ways to arrive at your door. Don't get stuck far forward or aft where you only have one way to access your door. That way you might be able to avoid walking by a decorated door. Heaven forbid if you find your cabin in between two decorated doors, though!

As if choosing the perfect cabin was not difficult enough.

    HAHA! Preach it!!
