  1. Thank you for all the positive replies:). I'll be double checking the policy once onboard.

It's a short string with very little light, they don't get hot and the bulb is encased in the plastic star, and they are solar, no plugging in...they're pretty darn safe.

At the very least, I'm thinking I can set the sensor next to the slider and even have the lights on top of the counter under the TV…I see a little rail around the counter that they could hang on.

I could also just bring them out out on the balcony when we are out there, scattered on top of a little table (is there a little table:confused:), that could be fun when sitting out with a glass of wine. They are more about atmosphere than lighting up a space. I use many of these strings in creative ways around my home and garden….mainly due to our love of stargazing here in Tucson. Its a soft/subtle way to light when outside.

And if I don't get enough light to charge them:eek:, this will all be a moot point. :D

  2. Your neighbors may not appreciate a lit up balcony at night...many like the darkness to star-gaze!

    A very good point!

I bet I could clip them along the top of our slider valance on the inside and have the sensor face outside, this way we could have the glow in the room…this

    may even be better:D

  3. You can not pre-book any specialty restaurant on the Ruby Princess or any other Princess ship. You book when on board.

Chef's table - Sign up as soon as you board. Visit the open DR, noon to 1:30 on boarding day or Passenger Service to sign up.

Share - Call the DINE line to book once on board, or visit the restaurant on the Sun deck aft.

Share & the Chef's Table are different dining experiences with a large difference in cost. The Chef's Table is in the $100/pp range, Share is $39/pp.

Perfect! Thank you so much :)

  4. Hello, I've tried to search this out here and I do not see anything on "my princess" site either and I'm coming up short with info.

We are on the Ruby in just over a week and I am interested in Chef's Table. This is my first cruise so I'm not all that savvy with how this all works. Do we need to book it now or do you have to wait until you board? I'm guessing there is limited seats for this? Could it be filled already?

I am aware it is at "Share". I'm OK with Curtis Stone :), I'm a food network junkie so it's kind of cool to see his restaurant here. I am more interested in information on how to book it and what is included besides the actual food.

Is there a way to contact Princess to ask questions directly about dining? I also have to see if the menu could be modified to gluten free and still be worth it. I have it set up that I am gluten free…but would still like details for the specialty dining options. If they tell me I'll get standard dining room gluten free options in the specialty restaurants than it may not be worth it for my foodie experience :D.

Has anyone recently experienced Chef's Table on the Ruby in the last month or two they would like to share…pun intended ;) ?

    Thank you!

    Nancy

  5. I have tried to search and see what options there are if you do not purchase any of the drink cards. I see juice is available at breakfast, as well as the coffee from concentrate.

What options are there for lunch and dinner (in the MDR)? Are there beverage options included with each meal?

Are you able to get water during the day? For example, if you went to the fitness center, is there water for water bottles?

I guess…are you paying per use for water outside of the dining?

    Thank you!
