  1. I had searched (alot) for pics of aft balconies and now that we are home from our cruise (Oct 2016) I thought I'd help you out. Here are 2 pics of Room 9704 which is 2 rooms down from 9202 and is exactly the same room. We LOVED our aft balcony. So calm, so peaceful, great location. We would open the balcony doors at night and listen to the waves rush from the back of the ship, the moonlight on the water, it was incredible. Hope this helps :)

  2. We are leaving Oct. 8th on POA, with no offers of any type of soda or unlimited drink card, they offer 2 options:

    12 pack for $47.14

    24 pack for $53.04

It states on NCL that this is a savings of "39%". If so, then how much are they charging for a single bottle on the ship once we board, and how many ounces are in the packs of water?

Sams Club has them for sale for $4.88 (16.9 oz) 24 bottles

  3. Great info, thanks!.....yes we do plan on renting a car anyways so I think we'll just go right from the airport to PH and park there with our rental car. We won't leave anything inside the car, we'll leave our luggage in the trunk, and take my purse with me to lock in the lockers inside.

We'll get tickets beforehand, I just keep hearing that unless we get there around 7am we wont get tickets? Costco has tickets too, I was going to look into those.

I figure we will have from around 12:30pm until PH closes, I'll call them to see what they suggest.

    Thanks!

  4. We want to see Pearl Harbor on Thursday before the cruise, and our flight gets into Honolulu at 11:16am. We will have a rental car booked & waiting at the airport, and plan to drive straight to Pearl Harbor.

We don't mind paying extra to do a tour. Is it safe to leave our luggage in the trunk of the car? Is there a tour that would take us around 12:30pm that we could book? We don't want to waste time by going to the hotel to drop off our luggage.

  5. You're right, we are going to be off the ship every day so the drink card wouldn't be feasible. I heard you can take soda on the ship free of charge, what about bottled water?

Is the Teppanyaki Special Restaurant like Benihanas? I love that style where the chef makes everything in front of you...I think we will be buying the 3 day package. I've been making notes and if you book Cagneys on Kona nite you can get lobster :)

Thank you for your help...love this site!!

  6. We will be on POA 10/8/16

We just tonite decided to do the ships Big Island Snorkel Redhill. 10 yrs ago we went on the Body Glove Boat and it was so nice. The slides, the breakfast, all the gear, big ship, restrooms, lunch, and cocktails after the swim persuaded us against the rubber raft (Zodiac). The Zodiac is more adventurous and will get you closer to the dolphins, but there is no shade, no restrooms, and if you have back problems, nothing to rest on.

Big Island is also an hour longer. Either one will be great, but because this was one of our favorite excursions 10 yrs ago, we decided to go with the Big Island.

Still trying to figure out our other days...We for sure are doing day 2 Kauai Tubing Adventure so we make it back to the ship in time :)

  7. we are booked in 9162 which is "starboard aft", but it looks like 2 cabins further aft jut out farther than ours. I'm wondering if it will obstruct our balcony view? Wondering about noise from the stairs/elevator as well. I was thinking of trying to get a cabin further aft or on the port side. We were on the starboard side in 2005 (same cruise). I remember we were right against the dock and I remember the oil smells on the dock, and was wondering if the other side might be better...any views on this? Thanks in advance! :)
