  1. Hi everyone!

We set sail on June 17th on the Oasis - going to the Western Caribbean. I want to put together a scavenger hunt for my family, including my two teenage daughters. I had, at one time, several screenshots of scavenger hunt ideas from somewhere here on CC; however, I have misplaced or accidently deleted them from my phone. I tried the search thread option with no luck.

Those who have sailed on the Oasis before, would you give me some ideas of items that are on the ship to put on my scavenger hunt please?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. My family (self, hubby, 13 yr old daughter, 16 yr old daughter, MIL, FIL) will be sailing on the Oasis June 17 to the Western Caribbean to celebrate my daughter’s Sweet Sixteen birthday.

We have previously sailed twice on FOS and LOVED it.

What are the “must dos” for the Oasis and the Western Caribbean.?

We are going to Jamaica, Labadee, and Cozumel.

What will we find different about the Oasis compared to FOS (other than size?)

Thanks for all of your help!

  3. My hubby's parents, his brother and new wife and our family of four (myself, hubby, & two girls ages 13 and 16) are planning a trip on the Oasis for the June 17th Western Caribbean sailing to celebrate our daughter's Sweet 16. We've been on FOS twice before and loved it!

I am looking for information on where the best cabins would be for us. My FIL & MIL will need a scooter accessible cabin and we would like it adjoining to ours. Ocean view or balcony cabins are preferred. My brother and sister-in-law would most likely want to be near us - but not necessarily adjoining to us.

We would like our cabins not too far from an elevator, but also not so close that we get noise from it either.

Would you all give us some ideas about which sections of the ship would work best for our family? What's close to the most used places on the ship? Do you feel much movement if you're not near the center?, etc.

Any information would greatly be appreciated! -A

  4. In case anyone was wondering, we are currently on the Oasis and it was announced during the drill that the itinerary was reversed due to the storm. A letter was also placed in our rooms updating us. Some tour times were changed and some of the port times appear to have changed as well. (Cozumel was a 7am arrival and is now 8, and I believe we are in jamaica later).

  5. My family and I will be on Freedom of the Seas in June for a cruise to the western Caribbean. This trip will include my husband, 11 and 13 year old daughters, and my FIL & MIL. My in-laws will most likely not be going to the ruins because of health issues.

I have seen numerous threads about the ruins and this is on our "must do" list. We are not interested in the shopping on 5th Ave. but want to see the best ruins and be able to spend the greatest amount of time there as possible.

I have read various threads that say there are some ruins as small as a pile of rocks and others that are bigger/more interesting; however, people have said they only get a few minutes at these ruins. I'm sure the info is out there; however, after searching thread after thread, I thought it may be better to ask. :)

What is the best, if any, excursion through RC (we want to book through the ship) that includes the larger ruins, interesting info from a guide, and possibly a place to purchase a souvenir? We are hoping for a 5-6 hour excursion, but could do 8 hour if needed to get what we are looking for.

Thanks for your help in advance!
