  1. That was the color of carpet in my stateroom on my last two cruises on the Divina (Fantastica experience).

Oh No!! That’s hideous.. it not the carpet color just the color MSC use to indicate the Arura cabins. I work directly on a deck plan.

  2. I will let you know how close you are on Dec. 1st when I walk into my Aft cabin. I am hoping it will be that spacious. Thanks for going to the trouble to do this so that we can get an idea of the cabin.

    Have a great day,

    Gerry

  3. I have done a bit of copy and pasting to see how furniture and fittings will fit into the space of the AFT cabins on a scale plan. I have taken elements from other room layouts and placed them, to scale, as per the deck plans.

A little optimistic with the 4 deck chair and 2 couches.. but.. hey there certainly is enough space for them[emoji6]. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL!! This is just my vision of what could be..

  4. That one made me chuckle, thank you :). I suspect there are many like me who are waiting for information about seaside before committing. MSC is just a little too much of a wild card for me to commit without solid info. The passenger space ratio on this ship (much like the Merg.) has me very cautious.

Regarding the video link, on both sides of the ship there appears to be a ladder right smack dab in the middle of the aft view cabins. Anyone know if this is temporary? That would bug the heck out of me personally.

The “ladders “ are automated balcony screen washers that move up and down the length of the ship. I hope they aren’t positioned there when not in use

  5. We're booked for the 22nd June out of Barcelona. It works well for us as we're going to stay for 3 night before getting on the ship.

Far too excited, but looking forward to hearing about the Seaside in December.....

We have booked out of Marseilles 23rd of June[emoji2] super excited!! Let hope all it in working order as it's only its second week sailing

  6. Notice you can see the Deck 9 Long balconies in the background.

Fostelo ... Did you see the info on the other thread re Seaview ?

Sidari, you've peeked my interest we have also booked on Seaview, can you say which tread you are referring to?

  7. There is definitely a sofa. TA checked. It is next to the bed where we first thought the dresser/desk was. That appears to be under the window.

There is no separation unless they put in a curtain. They were never advertised to have separate sleep area.

iCruise.com got my hopes up.. they describe the suite with a "private bedroom "

  8. Nope definitely all in one room like a hotel or regular cabin room. What its hard to see on the drawing is the sofa, we think it will be under the large window which makes the most sense so you can sit there and look out.

    That's a pity, thanks for the info[emoji6]

  9. Hi, I'm wondering if there is any updated info on the size of the Grand Suite since the thread started 7 months ago, I read in one of your comments that layout might still change!! I have booked 12001 based on the deck layout, it looked to be one of the biggest. I'm hoping nothing has changed.

  10. No we didn't. We had bought the premium drink package, which we will defiantly do again, so the kids (and us) could have what ever they wanted drinks, food, gelato, pastry, room service, mini bar snacks wise. So after buying the entertainment voucher (£55 for the whole family) there really was nothing else they could spend money on, except the arcade games, the F1 simulator, bowling ally and 4D movies was so much better than arcade games any way.

  11. We cruised with our 2 teenagers (13 & 15) and they had the best time of their lives, they were able to do the same activities, which mainly involved supervised social fun at "kids club" They got to bed after us every night. We bought a voucher which allowed every one in the family unlimited use of the F1 race car simulator, 4D movies and bowling ally. I have book another cruise just because the kids loved it so much!

  12. We chose the fantastica package, the room locations were defiantly better than Bella, and the premium drinks package and were very pleased with our choice. My husband only drinks decent whiskey (which weren't inclusive in the allegrissimo drinks package). We enjoyed the freedom of snacks and drinks on hand from the mini bar. The unlimited room service was great as well, the kids could have all they wanted at the patisserie, and I could drink French champagne all night.. That's my idea of a holiday[emoji6] The spa wasn't important to us

  13. Have you tried the South African site? We get a few benefits others don't. MSC SA offer kids under 18 cruise free. Most others have kids under 11yrs cruise free. We have a few specialized agencies as well.
