  1. Hi All,

I decided to cancel my wedding with Royal Caribbean. Royal Weddings is their wedding department and I received the refund for their responsibilities on Oct 20th. I have yet to see the remaining balance from Royal Caribbean.

Does anyone know any related emails/numbers that I could contact to speed things up? I don't see how it could take 6 weeks to issue a refund. 4 maybe but not 6!

The manager from Royal Weddings is also having trouble escalating this issue.

    Thanks in advanced.

  2. Hi, we are sailing on The Navigator and having an elopement in Funchal Madeira next October.

Just us two..... nobody knows ..............just all of you !:D

Just got off the Navigator that went to Madeira. Incredible place. Make sure you take the cable car up and ride the toboggan down.

  3. Hello, all! Just checking in! I hope everyone is having better luck with the wedding planning process!

We were re-assigned to a wedding coordinator named Julie, but we have mostly been in contact with one of the program managers named Sandy who has been extremely helpful! We had quite a few issues over the past month, one of which included our reservation accidentally being cancelled! In the midst of us freaking out, Sandy took care of everything and has been absolutely wonderful. Of course, we are still nervous about how the rest of the process will unfold, but one step at a time.

Has anyone here thought about what they are going to do regarding music for the reception? We are interested in the DJ option for the reception given the number of people we have attending, but the fine print on our contract states that the staff member assigned to play the music will not make any announcements or take song requests. We are trying to figure out how to get around this because it is very important for us to be able to have our first dance together as husband and wife, as well as the father/daughter and mother/son dances.

And yes, if anyone has already had their wedding on board and has pictures to share, would love to see them!

I plan on making a mix cd that has specific music in order. Ceremony songs, reception songs, first dance etc.

  4. Just wanted to share everyone what I've been designing/creating for my wedding.

I am booked for May 26 2018 aboard Rhapsody of The Seas and I have about 40 people booked so far.

My invites and welcome aboard letter: Designed by me and the photos I used were from my last year's trip aboard Rhapsody to Mykonos and Santorini

The envelopes have gold writing on them now. Didn't get a chance to snap a new pic.

Custom made shirts are being printed

I'm also giving out Rayban Wayfarer style sunglasses with my logo on it. I'll post more pics of that later. Below is the custom made bag which will house the glasses

  5. I too am Majesty. I also can't really find the venue options. But in doing my wedding on land and reception back in board. Of you find any answers to things PLEASE post them.

Venue options are basically any bar/lounge/entertainment area on the ship.

For my wedding next year aboard Rhapsody, I am using the Shall We Dance lounge. Viking Crown Lounge is also an option.

I believe you can also book the entire specialty restaurant. Usually costs $4k USD for dinner.

  6. I had puneet, she left the company and I was dumped off on a woman named Megan who has yet to respond more than a 50 word email in two and a half weeks. I called twice today to try to get in touch with her and was denied both times. I finally asked if someone could evaluate whether Megan could handle my wedding or if I need to be reassigned. Their program manager emailed me to set up a call for tomorrow within half hour of making a complaint. hopefully she will be able to find me someone like Isabella who can answer an e-mail more than once a month!

Yes Isabella is quick to respond with emails. I haven't spoken to her on the phone yet but I feel like I don't need to with her quick responses. Hopefully it stays this way until my wedding date.

We are doing a Symbolic Ceremony at sea inside the Shall We Dance lounge at 4pm. I originally asked Isabella to have it for 12pm but today she came back to me saying that time slot is unvailable. It's unforunate since I am pretty sure I booked it first before anyone else (2 months ago) but that's okay. 4pm should work better; ceremony, reception for 2 hours then off to the main dining room for dinner. I'll keep everyone updated!

  7. Hi all. I've been dealing with Isabella for my wedding (May 26 2018 aboard Rhapsody). She's been great and responds fairly quickly; usually within a day or two.

I hope both your experiences improve. I'm trying to stay on top of Isabella with confirmations every few weeks to make sure my requests have been fulfilled.

  8. I'm trying to figure out what, if anything, Royal Caribbean provides for decor for the wedding and reception location. My planner doesn't seem to have any idea. Can anyone let me know? I just want to make sure I buy anything they aren't providing before I get there.

Also, does anyone know if we are expected to tip the staff after the reception or is there a tip built into the amount paid like on the drink packages? Thanks!

    Hi Mindy,

RC provides what they call a "Sweetheart Table" which is a small table for the Bride and Groom. It is decorated with white linen and some small pleasantries and will be the center of attention of the entire setup.

  9. Did you happen to find the answers to these questions? Also, do you know is there enough room for dancing in Viking Crown?

    Hi,

I ended up booking the Shall We Dance Lounge. It is more private with only one entrance which can be blocked off to the public.

The Viking Crown seemed too open for other guests to walk in and the setup would have looked very awkward.

But to answer your question, there should be lots of room for dancing in the Viking Crown. It is used as a nightclub every day.

  10. Hey all. Just an update on my communication with Royal Weddings. Great communication so far. Having all my questions answered but it does take 2-3 days to receive a reply.

Going through the selection package and it seems pretty detailed. I went with the biggest package (roughly $6100 CAD).

I'll be starting a new thread with information including the selection package they have given me if anyone is interested.

  11. Has anyone had improved communication/service with the new company yet that they can report? I'll be rethinking my Fall 2018 plans if thinks have gotten worse!

So far so good on my end. Quick replies (2 days usually). My contract is with the wedding coordinator and I'm waiting for them to contact me which they mentioned will be in 2 weeks.

  12. Hey all!

I'm planning on booking my wedding on Rhapsody for May 26th 2018, 7 night Greece. I'd like to stay on the ship for the second week which has a slightly different itinerary. Ultimately having a 2 week trip in total.

Does anyone know what's involved? Would Royal let us keep our staterooms? Do they let us leave the ship on the final day of the first week? The final day on the first week ports in Venice so I'd like to go down and see the city again, then hop back on the ship for the second cruise.
