Hello, anybody knows how much is the taxi from the cruise port to Turner beach?
Also, are there gonna be taxis there throughout the day to go back the the ship?
Thank you! :)

I am curious about that to! Did you find anything? Thanks!

I guess I will be underdressed so I hope I am not the only one 🤞 I only have two dresses and they are both short 😊
Looking forward to admire everybody else though!

We were not on a Cunard ship when we were in Cadiz and did not take the excursion to Seville but I looked at some the paperwork and it said people would be dropped at 'Puerta de Jerez, right in the historical centre of Seville.'
I would think most drop off stops would be the same regardless of ship or tour company because the cities like to control that kind of thing. Sorry I couldn't help more.
Thanks so much!🙂

We did Seville with Cunard about 4 years ago and the pickup drop off was Avenue El Vid which is about 15 minutes walk from the Cathedral
Can't find Avenue El Vid ... hmmm ....thanks anyway 🙂 The time to get to the church is enough to time it correctly 🙂

We sailed with a 5 year old and 2 year old, and they were very patient about the fact that my children were just wearing a nice shirt and pants, and I was in a very informal black dress. We flew from the US to London, and needed a ton of stuff for the kids plus warm clothes for Norway, so I didn't want to bring formal clothes that would just get destroyed anyway (at some point, I'll be wearing food so I've given up temporarily on anything that needs dry cleaning). You might stand out a bit since there were people even wearing formal wear at the buffett, but the staff were patient and tolerant of my family, and the waiters in the mdr were great with my kids. Have a great cruise!
Thanks for your input ! I got him a suit yesterday but your info might make me not buy another dressy outfit! I have 2 dresses so I will wear those two for the gala nights 🙂

Maybe he doesn't have to, but I think he might just enjoy having a nice blue blazer to wear.
Thanks for the input 🙂

That should of course say bow ties and NOT bow toes 😀
Ha ha 🙂

You do however, see children dressed very formally. It is not uncommon to see toddler boys in little suits with bow toes and little girls in bridesmaid type dresses.
Ok, thanks for the input 🙂

From the Cunard website
"Children under 18 do not have a dress code but should adhere to the daily dress code where possible"
Thanks 🙂 I may just buy him a vest only ....

Hello, I was wondering if my son ( 13 ) needs a suit too or he will be fine with pants and shirt only ...thanks ! 🙂

We rented a car in Santa Cruz de la Palma (CICAR, but perhaps they are sold out on your date? I wasn't sure which cities you were checking.) We drove around part of the island and had a wonderful time. We went to San Antonio volcano site, and then down a peninsula to see lighthouses and a salt extraction operation. Then we came back and saw a little bit of Santa Cruz, which was nice.
Sounds nice but unfortunately I could not find a car ... probably sold out . It’s always a next time though 😊

We've just returned from 4 nights in Lisbon prior to our 25 day Wind Surf cruise. We ate at Bairro do Avillez the last evening of our stay in Lisbon. It has several eateries within the one location and the tapas and wine were delicious! We went one evening but they were booked for the restaurant we had decided to eat at so we made reservations and went back the following evening. It's quite an interesting place and very popular with the locals.
Thanks ! Will check it out 🙂

We've been to Lisbon on 4 cruises, starting in 2003 and last in 2014. It's one of my favorite European ports! We used the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus on our first time there, which gets you out from the older area along the river (that's my favorite area, though). We've also done a private walking tour through our Roll Call, which was excellent. First, I would strongly recommend getting a guidebook (either buy or borrow from the library) to orient yourself as there are various distinct districts, such as Alfama. The old part of the city is around Commerce Square, a vast flat area along the river, surrounded by government buildings. The terrain rises sharply from there on all three sides, hence the tram shown in TLCOhio's photos. On the right hand ridge is a fortress and around it is a very old neighborhood which is interesting and includes the cathedral in TLC's photos.. On the opposite side is an upscale and beautiful residential area. The shopping area spreads out and up from the center of the square. As to food, my favorite is their custard tart! Enjoy!
Thank you for the suggestions 🙂

We took a tuktuk ride from the dock, no need to book. Not cheap but we had a private tour and he took us through the narrow streets, we were amazed how hilly it us. He also showed us the restaurant CR7 (Christiano Ronaldos place) which may be of interest to you as a EuroFan! He then took us out to Belem which us not to be missed. The larger tuktuk take 4 people if you want to share.
Thanks for the review!!! I booked 2 tours with them so around 4 hours 🙂 Super excited ! 🙂

A dark suit & necktie is acceptable, particularly with a white shirt. Most men will be in a tuxedo.
My wife often wears black dressy trousers and a sparkly top. Many women will be dressier.
Thank you !

We will travel from the States as well.
We are looking quite forward to dressing up for our Cunard cruise and love looking quite sharp and spiffy- that said, my husband will definitely be wearing a dark suit with a tie on Gala evenings. That is where he is comfortable and happy.
We usually are overdress on cruises in general but on this one we will be the " under dressed " ha ha 🙂 No Tuxedo and long evening gowns ! 🙂
