  1. We were on this cruise too - flew from the UK on Xmas day and had a great time, so sad to be back in the dull, overcast [but not yet cold] UK!

We liked most things so perhaps it is easier to say what we didnt feel was too good. The four of us thought the entertainment was poor, the worst we have seen on a cruise ship, except for the ventriloquist and a comedian or two.

The buffet food seems to have gotten worse since our last Carnival cruise 7 years ago but the burgers, pizza and MDR food was great - thanks to the staff for finding us tables in the MDR at busy times.

Eric grew on us too [hated him after his 10am wake-up call on New Years Day after that fantastic party] but seemed to be doing most things on his own without too much help from others in his team. They seem to be getting the passengers to make their own fun - we found this on Costa a while back - and we like to be entertained rather than be the show itself.

We had a porthole cabin [2220] at the front and, whilst it is more noisy than a normal cabin, that is more than made up for by the extra space.

All in all though, a great cruise, loved the ports and actually found excursions at the ports much cheaper than Carnival were offering - their guarantee only covers pre-booked excursions apparently.
