I went on some cruises between 18-21 with my parents and I was miserable. I mean it was fun because it was a cruise, but at night it just sucked. I was too old for what I knew and too young for the partying. The clubs didn't interest me because I didn't have any liquid courage, the theatre shows make me contemplate jumping off my balcony and I didn't want to just hang out with family all night just tagging along.

 

All I had was the hour and a half of comedy some nights and trivia during the day.

I hear ya. I was 17, a week away from turning 18, on my first cruise. "Club O2" on that sailing was basically just a nightclub for teens (which didn't really interest me), and despite being so close to 18 I couldn't even go to the comedy shows.

If it's still around, everyone in our (rather large) group enjoyed the pirate boat excursion on my first cruise. That was admittedly 10 years ago, but it offers an alternative to some of the other options. Plus it still leaves time to go to the beach or whatever you want to do after.

I'm not a Fanatic like some people are, and I've only been on one cruise so far (booked for my second though), but I love Carnival!
