  1. I just did this excursion in November to get to the beach and I do not recommend it. The beach it drops you near is pretty shelly and there is not much in the area by the beach only on the main drag. I looked up some cute things in CoCo Beach and it was nowhere near the drop off.

I also learned this is not truly a continuous shuttle, we got lucky but apparently if you dont leave when the ship docks you may not be able to leave for the beach til much later. We got lucky because someone came back earlier than anticipated. Our thought was to get off the boat at our leisure not rush with the crowds.

  2. Did anyone else on the Anthem of the seas 11/4-11/11 notice that the ship was very warm except the casino??..from day 1 when we boarded it was very warm Even the theatre was warm..they should have the AC on the keep the germs down

Yes it was very warm and our room wouldn't go below 68 which made it impossible for me to sleep. I am a person who sleeps with the room freezing.

And back to the fruit in drinks. When you pay $54 a day for the drink package and cant get your drinks of choice its a problem. They should have absolutely worked in pairs or perhaps used tongs to serve that. Containers are not supposed to be open to air either, I worked in a restaurant.

  3. I would love to know who told you they stopped serving drinks with fruit, as one of the standard sanitation procedures, even when there is no noro, is that all "ready to eat" food, like fruits and vegetables for salads are sanitized before leaving the provisions area.

They stopped serving fruit in drinks. I was unable to get a mojito from late Weds on. And as it continued no cherries in a manhattan, no margarita with lime, no lime for gin and tonic , and the list goes on. This was at multiple locations. The bartenders told us they are not permitted to serve fruit in drinks. I am assuming because they dont wear gloves and actually handled the fruit versus it being prepped in a kitchen.

  4. I just got off the Anthem of the Seas and I find it upsetting to see that the outbreak started on the 10/28 sailing, continued to progress through our 11/4 sailing, and even another ship be "warned" of mingling with us all while they tried to keep communication minimized on our sailing. As the week progressed everywhere I looked things got taken away. Also to pay for the drinking package to be told I cant have my choice cocktail the last 3 days because they "ran out" of limes, when in reality I found out they stopped serving drinks with fruit because of the norovirus makes me question the ship's integrity. I know we recieved a letter and the captain mentioned it but for someone who has never experienced this before it was hard to understand the extent and seriousness of the situation.

I was lucky that my party has not been effected by the norovirus yet (mainifestation can be 1-3 days) but for those who did fall ill I would be even more upset reading some of this after the fact.
