  1. We are considering either the Breeze with Carnival or the Liberty of the Seas with Royal Caribbean. I think with the Liberty the kids definitely will not get board (we have cruised on RC and are familiar with how to keep kids entertained) but we are wanting to save a few dollars. I'm just concerned about how entertained the kids will be with Carnival. Ages will be 9, 7, 2, and 7 months. Anyone familiar with this boat and it's kids programs?

  3. We will have a 4 kids with us. 9 years, 7 years, 2 years, and 7 months. What would be good to do since we have two smaller kiddos too?

Haven't booked yet but trying to decide if this island is even one we would want to go to.

  5. Is there a nice hotel to stay at pre and post cruise that has shuttle service? Needing to and from airport and to and from cruise. Looking around $100 a night price range in Ft. Lauderdale.

  6. We are going to Nassau, Bahamas on July 4th and are very interested in the "Ultimate Trainer for a Day" package through Atlantis.

Problem is that it is a set time and our cruise ship leaves before it is done. It is crazy expensive, and lasts about 6-7 hours and we will get 4 hours of it and have to leave to make the ship by one. This includes a long lunch so we could miss more.

My question is has anyone had this problem and done it anyways? Are they willing to be flexible on schedule and allow you to get as much in as possible or are we just going to miss what is scheduled for the last couple hours?

  8. First time cruiser here. We are leaving on the Allure in July for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we are having a hard time figuring out what excursions we would like to do. We are going to Nassau, Bahamas, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, and Basseterre, St. Kitts. We have about 7-10 hours at each island.

Should we book independently or through the cruise line? I saw if you go through the cruise line you get off the boat first, have a guarantee to make it back on the ship....if you have a reliable non-cruise excursion is the extra cost of the cruise excursion worth it? I am finding there are not a lot of reviews through the cruise line so I am assuming not many people are going through the cruise line. How do I find companys to book through if not through the cruise line?

We would like to snorkel, swim with dolphins (or sea lions...maybe both!?), and have beach time. Which of those islands has the best beaches and places to snorkel. Or is there something that is a "must do" on any of the islands?

What do you do before/after your excursions? Are there beaches close by to the ports?

We are also curious about drink packages. I have done a little research on them and we feel that we could just pay for our drinks outright. Has anyone not had a drink package and just bought drinks outright? Is it really worth the money to have a drink package? We are not huge alcohol drinkers, but will probably splurge and have a few drinks each day and my husband is big on quality coffee. We are also really picky about our water...and we drink a TON of it. We are worried about the taste of the tap water on the ship. Does it taste okay? Should we bring a filter?

Any other tips I am not thinking of?

    Thank you for your time!
