I don't think it will sail. Americans can't travel to Europe and I wouldn't tie my money up with Royal. I'm booked on a Holyland cruise in November but I know we are not going. Royal has not cancelled it I'm sure hoping to get last payment since its due August. I suspect they will cancel after the last payment date.

The Jewel of the Seas and its class have 2 bedroom suites that sleep 8. I got one for an Alaskan cruise but looking back the 23k for 7 people wasn't worth it. I should have just gotten adjoining balconies.

Thanks its the evening national Thanksgiving game so only NFL game that night. Hopefully I can catch it. Might bring my fire stick just in case to stream.

We are taking our family of four first Disney cruise Thanksgiving week. We have cruised many times typically Royal Caribbean. I have a few question for anyone that may have taken this cruise. Will there be any special Thanksgiving dinner on-board? Also is there a sports bar on board that I might be able to watch the Cowboy game? I have noticed that being a first time cruiser with Disney everything was booked up except for the Bibby Dee Bobby(I'm sure I misspelled it). Do they reserve tickets on board I can purchase for the Frozen meet and greet for my daughter? Thanks in advance for the help.

We were on the Radiance of the Seas in a 2 bedroom Grand Suite in July 2019. You still receive gold cards. We did a galley tour but we had to pay. The head waiter offered it like it was free but stated he gave a discount to us. 30 bucks per person kids free. Not bad but I thought it should have been complimentary.

I also agree to eat breakfast at chops every morning. No crowds made to order food and just better service all around in my opinion.

Room service is complimentary and arrived quickly but you do have to remind the person you are ordering from that you are in a suite. Every night I would get a statement about a charge until I explained I was in a suite.

Hi I was wondering if you could talk a little bit about the weather. I know we can't predict but I would like a general sense. We are doing a different itinerary than you (Seward to Vancouver) start July 5th. By the way nice review. I was torn on getting on the Ovation instead of the older Radiance. Like you I didn't want a lot of sea days so I sacrificed the new ship for more ports. Hopefully there is enough to keep the kiddos busy.

My wife and I got married 13 years ago on the Rhapsody of the Seas in port in Galveston. We had about 75 people attend the wedding and reception. We absolutely loved it. Like many others have said if you are willing to give up a little control it will be fine. Although it was in port you still have to prepare for a remote wedding bringing on extra luggage for wedding clothes etc. We did it with the idea of not having to deal with multiple vendors etc. We picked a package with Royal they did the rest. Other than picking the menu and drinks I don't remember having to hassle with much. It was a blast for those guests that had never been on a cruise ship before to see their amazement. 

So much so my brother got married on the Liberty of the Seas 2 years ago. They really enjoyed themselves and had no complaints. As stated you can have the ship provide an official but myself and my bro both had our mom( who is an ordained minister) marry us both. Great memories for my family so we have a deep connection with Royal Caribbean.

I will say since being on some of the newer mega ships if you have a large group coming I would choose one of those ships. They have chapels that are large enough to accommodate a large group if you still want that church feel. Our wedding felt like a one week event without a letdown. I took my tuxedo off and threw swimming trunks on and was at the pool with a drink less than 30 min after my reception. Of all my friends weddings every still remembers ours 13 years later. 🙂
